We arrived at this hotel excited to spend a family vacation, and what we found was nothing short of a nightmare. A room that costs over €1,000 was in absolutely disgraceful condition: broken toilet seat, no air conditioning in one of the rooms, several lights not working, torn mosquito nets, a jacuzzi full of someone else’s hair, and curtains falling off the wall. To top it off, on the very first day the room wasn’t even cleaned — an employee called a cleaner who only made ONE bed and left everything else dirty, until she was forced to come back and finish. From the moment we arrived, we were met with hostile stares, as if we didn’t belong there. The staff is rude, cold, and completely lacking in empathy. When we tried to raise the issues, instead of apologizing, they blamed us, accusing us of breaking things that were already broken. One family member was even accused of yelling, when the truth is he simply speaks louder because of a hearing problem. Absolutely shameful. The “service” here amounts to nothing but blaming guests and looking for excuses to squeeze more money out of them. It is insulting, disgraceful, and downright disgusting. Worst of all, the difference in treatment is shocking: foreign guests are welcomed with smiles, while Spaniards are treated with contempt. We were treated like criminals, threatened with being thrown out of the hotel despite having two small children, and on the last day staff even came up to “inspect” the room as if we were thieves. Humiliation after humiliation. The staff is unfriendly, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. From day one until the end, we felt attacked, disrespected, and mistreated. Take this from the heart: NEVER stay at this hotel. It’s the closest thing to a prison — except here you pay thousands of euros for the privilege of being treated...
Read moreAll in all, it was a good experience with some issues , and therefore I would not give it a five star rating. The staff were really professional and nice. The rooms were clean. I tend to tip the cleaning staff of all people, and they always cleaned the rooms well. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but was decent. The food in the restaurant for dinner was quite good too. What was not that great is that the fridge hardly worked properly( it was not cold enough), and that most rooms do not have a balcony which is fine and known to us, but there was no option to dry wet clothes after swimming. This is a beach area after all, and I am not sure how it is expected that guests can dry their clothes other than leaving it near the pool area. That works if you use the pool, but what if you go to the beach and come back? This is something the management needs to think about. There are multiple restaurants in this area which is another plus. Overall, it is a 4 star hotel, and it did meet most standards expected of a...
Read moreWe chose this hotel because it was central for daytrips in the Region Zadar. Petrcane is a quiet fishing village, away from the busy spots. Easy to reach not only Zadar but also Šibenik, Pag Island, Nin etc. And also Split, Trogir, Krka NP or Plitvice NP are not that far away if you have a car.||The hotel is comfortable (in our case we asked for a room for disabled) and calm. The staff is well motivated, friendly and helpful. A wonderful team! In the beginning of our stay we were told that we could not have dinner in the restaurant of the hotel (out of season?) but that there were some good restaurants in the village, at some 100 meters distance. We were surprised of that message, but in the end inreed we found some charming restaurants which served really delicious food... ||The room and breakfast in Hotel Petrcane were both very good.||We had a marvellous week and a very pleasant stay at...
