Hotel Dvorac Jurjevec — Hotel in Municipality of Lekenik

We had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with this hotel, which is absolutely unacceptable for a so-called 4-star property.

One day before our arrival, we received a poorly written, highly unprofessional email requesting that we change our arrival date due to “flooding” in our room. By that time, however, we were already on our way to Croatia, as we had programs scheduled for that specific date. Interestingly, the hotel was still available on booking.com — but suddenly only at a much higher price than the one we had reserved three months in advance. When I pointed this out, the hotel “miraculously” found a free room for us. They offered free dinner as compensation via message which they made us pay of course..

Upon arrival, our relief quickly turned into shock. Our room was infested with stinkybugs. When I reported this to the reception, they moved us to another room — which was in exactly the same condition, also full of stinkybugs. The staff promised to treat the room while we were at dinner, but this never happened. Instead, when I complained again, they handed me an insect spray and told me to deal with it myself. Unsurprisingly, this was ineffective. After insisting further, I was given a homemade solution, which also did not work. At no point did they offer professional housekeeping support. On my third request, the receptionist simply shrugged and told me to throw the bugs into the toilet one by one. The infestation was severe: not one or two insects, but dozens covering the curtains and even the bed. This is absolutely disgusting, unacceptable, and intolerable in any hotel, let alone in a property advertising itself as 4 stars.

Beyond this major hygiene issue, there were additional problems: • the toilet was not functioning properly, • the shower drain was clogged and did not let the water out, cold water was running only from the shower • the pool water was cold.

Whenever we raised these issues, the staff’s standard response was that “no other guest has complained,” therefore they considered everything fine.

We were given two rooms, and it seems we were “lucky” enough to get the exact ones already occupied by stinkybug. This level of service, cleanliness, and customer care is appalling. We cannot recommend this...

Stayed there for one night in late December 2021. The castle/mansion is newly renovated, mixing modern and historical decor. It is momentarily obvious that the owners love and care for this heritage hotel, they pay attention to every detail of exterior and interior of the hotel. The food was absolutely delicious, homemade and creative ( this area is know for hazelnut orchards), served in luxurious dinnerware sets by most professional service staff. We had homemade beef stew soup, sous-vide chicken thighs with hazelnut sauce, hazelnut gnocchi and dark chocolate lava cake. Couldn't decide what tasted better. The rooms are well equipped and modern, with a choice of pillows and a fast wi-fi. With its beautiful surroundings and secluded location, Jurjevec is a great place to rest, eat and sleep well. I highly recommend this...

Incredible luxurious hotel near Lekenik in Croatia. Super rooms, extremely well decorated & super clean. Some ensuite bathrooms have jacuzzi baths. Restaurant serves incredible food with superb menus. Breakfast is amazing, continental style with added touches. Very friendly host & owner... great history to Hotel & Site. Set in lovely grounds. Has indoor swimming pool & sauna etc.... outdoor pool being built. This is a fairly new hotel and is an absolute gem. If you dont stay here go for the food / dining experience.... they make their own fruit juice & marmalade etc... its out of the way and very quiet.... incredible find... one to visit... we...
