Hotel Mozart — Hotel in Općina Špišić Bukovica

We traveled here to visit my mother's birthplace near Vocin. Had booked this hotel after reading T/A prior to the journey and happy that we did. Setting is so quiet, well away from the highways or anything. Very picturesque. Rooms are nice and clean. Restaurant is excellent and they have an excellent chef. The owners are terrific. We got lost in the early evening and were running out of gas. They went out and bought a can of gas and were heading to rescue us when we found a gas station that was open so made it back on our own. But what a nice gesture. Countryside around here is very pretty so if you want to get out of Zagreb for a day or two, I would highly recommend the Mozart and the restaurant for a fine meal. A pleasant surprise in comparison to other hotels in the area. Amazing friendly staff who go out of their way to accomodate every requset no matter how obscure. Comfortable rooms but TV lacks variety and anything in English. The hotel is mostly used by Italian hunters but they are up and gone very early and back late at night so never seen which gives a feeling of being the only one there. If you are passing by and need to take a few days out then this is it! Very relaxing and not to forget an amazing huge sauna all to youself!! Enjoy! I have stayed here on many occasions for my business trips to Virovitica but it would be equally good if you are touring. The rooms are simple but comfortable and very good value when booked locally. I am sitting on the balcony while typing this review so the wi-fi works perfectly for computing/mobile or whatsapp and Skype. Breakfast and dinner are excellent in the dining room which is light and airy. The surroundings on the edge of the forest add to its charm and the welcome is always warm and helpful.
