Hostel Flores — Hotel in Općina Žumberak

This place is awesome. It’s not fancy, but it’s better- a kind family who goes out of their way to make sure you enjoy and are comfortable. I was a solo hiker and they even gave me a lift to an ATM as well as picked me up and dropped me off close to my trailhead on the Croatian Long Distance Trail. I spent one week in the hostel, the owner (Igor) is a nice person and very entertaining and available. There was no supermarket close, but it was possible to purchase some delicious meal directly at the hostel, prepared in the most typical and traditional Croatian way. We wilden de eerste nacht niet in Zagreb overnachten. Maar wel binnen een uur rijden vanaf het vliegveld. We vonden bij toeval dit adres. Wat een superkeuze. Het ligt in het natuurgebied Zumbarek. Wat op zich een bezoek waard is. Het hostel wordt gerund door een familie, die erg gastvrij is. Je moet in dit hostel wel tegen stilte en donker kunnen. 'S nachts is het hier echt donker en zeer stil.|De familie kan je ook van eten voorzien. De juiste keuze. Wij kregen een tradionele kaastaart. Heerlijk naar veel te veel. Dat geldt ook voor het ontbijt. In ons geval zat er nog een stuk kaastaart bij. Geen straf natuurlijk. De kamers zijn netjes, schoon en ruim. Ook de badkamer is gewoon netjes.
