Villa Barbara — Hotel in Općina Barban

I recently booked my stay at Villa Barbara with my choir for our team building. The three houses were more than equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen had pans, pots, glasses, plates, oven (microwave and regular), ... you name - it it was there. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms were very neat and clean. The whole combination of rock walls with everything wooden in the houses gives them a really special charm. Outside of the house we played billiard, enjoyed ourselves by the swimming pool or just sat in the green meadow behind the house and enjoyed in the sunshine. In the night time, we sat in front of the big fireplace and felt such a great feeling of calmness.||||The hosts warmly welcomed us when we came to the Villa, prepared home made sweets and during our stay they where available via phone for every question we had.||||I highly recommend this property for people who want to have a team building like we did, or who just want to relax in the country side. A nice place by the country side, very peaceful and quiet. My recommendation is to book the hole property like we did. Well equipped kitchen and generally every area, with a nice pool (children's fun) but there were some thing to fix (eg. electricity - we face some issues when more then two people tried to do their shower). Also the property need more attention in terms of maintenance generally speaking. Quite far from seaside - in my opinion - (depending on what kind of beach you prefer there were at least 15 to 35 km to drive one way to a decent one). Grundsätzlich ist die Anfahrt nach Kroatien ja schon stressig genug. Da erwartet man etwas Schönes vor Ort, wo man sich wirklich erholen kann.||Hier kann man es definitiv nicht!!!||Drei Häuser, die irgendwie mehr oder weniger zufällig so zusammen stehen, in eine Ecke den Pool gepackt. Kein wirklicher Garten, in dem man sich aufhalten könnte. Alles scheint mir doch sehr lieblos dahin geklatscht!!! Wenn ich in den Urlaub fahre, erwarte ich, daß es schön ist, aber hier ist man in irgend einem Hinterhof in der Pampa abgestellt!!||Schlafen kann man nicht, weil nur die Erdgeschosse klimatisiert sind. Die Hitze staut sich unter dem Dach in den Schlafräumen so dermaßen, daß an Schlaf nicht zu denken ist. Zudem sind die Zimmer sehr klein, sehr spartanisch ausgestattet. Man hat nirgends eine wirkiche Ablagefläche, im Kleiderschrank hingen ganze 2 Bügel!!!! ||Die Küche hat kein Licht, sodaß man im Dunkeln kochen muß. Zudem ist die Küche sehr sparsam eingerichtet. Viele Dinge fehlen, die man halt so braucht. Spülmaschine funktioniert nicht,.......!!!! Ich habe den Eindruck, daß hier schnelles Geld gemacht werden soll, denn es wird nicht mitgedacht, was denn die Leute so brauchen könnten.||Hinzu kommt noch, daß in der unmittelbaren Nachbarschaft ca. 10 Hähne um die Wette krächzen, was schon frühmorgens beginnt!!!||Für mich ist die Behausung echt enttäuschend und werde sie nicht weiter...
