Boutique Hotel Marco Polo — Hotel in Općina Gradac

A perfect romantic getaway and the best stay on the Adriatic. The hospitality is outstanding. The hotel staff greeted us with a warm welcome, a tour of the hotel highlighting the features amenities and procedures with dining, the hot tub, fitness and parking. Sandra was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome at Marco Polo. We were able to use the hotel towels and umbrella at our disposal and you can come packed lightly here. They have everything you need and can help you across 5 or more languages with anything you might need in Gradac.

The breakfast included was the best breakfast I’ve had across many hotels in Europe, America and Canada. A buffet style with many styles of bread, cheese, eggs, breakfast meat, veggies and fruit. Everything is presented with attention to detail, is fresh if not homemade. A variety of tea (a fresh honey comb for your use) and a coffee/espresso machine that can make cappuccinos and other speciality beverages for a perfect morning on the sea.

The sea is beautiful and we spent most of our days swimming and jumping off the Marco Polo dock. It’s perfect for diving, swimming with googles and laying out and tanning with a book. Marco Polo has private chaise loungers for your use and there was one available anytime we needed.

We made reservations for dinner and it was quite a delight. They have specials that change and you can see this displayed daily. We had the Tuna Steak and Veal paired with a delicious Dalmatian wine recommended by our server. It couldn’t have been a better meal. The lighting, the ambiance, the sound of Adriatic waves rippling under your feet, the small cute fresh floral decoration on the table, the outstanding service and attention from the staff. I cannot thank your team enough for for making our stay so wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay at Marco Polo hotel. Firstly about the hotel: the rooms are very spacious and have loads of storage to put away your stuff. The bed is also spacious and very very comfortable, together with the pillows. I had a very good nights sleep. Breakfast is excellent, and the location is likewise amazing. Right on the beach. Easy to go for a quick swim or just enjoy the view while eating. The hotel has a certain atmosphere around it that makes it feel like home. Very cozy. |||What made our stay even more special were the staff. Specifically Sandra at the reception and Stipe as host. Rarely do you see such genuinly kind individuals. We had a personal situation which made our stay a bit more difficult due to a booking error from my side. The way the staff has helped us will not be forgotten. Il mio giudizio complessivo del Marco Polo di Gradac è sicuramente ottimo. Non si può non apprezzare un hotel così curato sul lungomare di Gradac!! colpisce subito perchè dall'esterno è veramente molto grazioso. Ho soggiornato con la mia famiglia ad agosto per 6 notti. La prima notte però non avendo posto siamo stati in una camera standard e le rimanenti 5 al secondo piano in una suite. Non posso veramente dire altro che "STUPENDA", suite molto ampia , con terrazzo spettacolare sul mare, bagno enorme, soggiornino, frigo bar sempre pieno, non si poteva desiderare altro. ||Le "ombre" a cui mi riferisco nel titolo della recensione sono dovute a due aspetti che mi hanno colpito però negativamente. La camera standard non era assolutamente degna di un boutique hotel, il bagno era datato, la doccia molto vecchia, e le dimensioni della stanza veramente ridotte. Capisco che fosse ovviamente una standard ma anche le più piccole camere di un hotel molto curato possono a volte essere molto graziose e questa mi dispiace ma non lo era. Ho soggiornato in camere standard molto più curate, con bagni minuscoli ma decisamente di "design". ||L'altro aspetto negativo è la spiaggia. Veramente troppo piccola quella data in concessione all'albergo!! forse a giugno non essendoci molta gente ci si sta benissimo, ma ad agosto era quasi invivibile. tutti appiccicati e talvolta ti ritrovavi qualche lettino davanti a te proprio sotto i piedi. E poi secondo me è veramente assurdo che all'ingresso della spiaggia ci sia un cartello dell'hotel che vieti di occupare lettini senza che ci siano persone sul posto e invece TUTTI e dico TUTTI facevano esattamente il contrario. Praticamente la mattina alle sette e mezza mentri facevi tranquillamente colazione la spiaggia era già tutta occupata da teli da mare sui lettini senza ovviamente persone. Quindi chiunque poteva scendere all'alba, occupare i posti sulla spiaggia e andarsene in camera per arrivare magari 2 ore dopo!!! Dicono di noi italiani che siamo spesso furbi ma quando ho soggiornato io erano tutti stranieri che facevano questa bella furbata!! e secondo me un hotel che mette un cartello del genere deve poi accertarsi che venga rispettato e vigilare costantemente. Invece nessuno del personale controllava e dovevi avere l'ansia la mattina di prenderti un posto prima che lo facessero tutti gli altri. spesso infatti siamo andati alla spiaggia libera attigua.||Ottima colazione, spa all'ultimo piano che non abbiamo utilizzato ma che ho avuto modo di vedere con piscina idromassaggio molto carina , sala fitness e piscina che però era all'ombra per diverse ore della giornata.||Nel complesso però devo sicuramente consigliare questo hotel sia per la posizione magnifica sul mare che per l'ottimo rapporto...
