Natura Camp Karli — Hotel in Općina Kaštelir-Labinci

Although two seasons already have passed since we enjoyed beauty of Natura Camp Karli, it created a summer memory we are so fond of that we remembered it during long and grey winter months. Then I realized we forgot to write a review, which is such a small thing to do for such hospitality we received from the owner Antonija and her lovely family. My husband and I visited Camp Karli at the beginning of August 2021, for a week. We stayed in our tent and enjoyed all privileges of beautifully designed and thought-through camp. The thing we appreciated a lot is that when sharing amenities there is no difference whether you are in a tent or luxury glamping objects (outdoor kitchen and dining area, toilets, lounge area…) We felt as at home from the beginning, thanks mostly to very genuine and warmhearted Antonija and her husband Valter. They are the ideal owners, ones that think and react from the heart, wishing their guests the comfort and enjoyment they would want for themselves. I hope this never changes! Not to mention fresh homemade produces, olive oil, marmalade and other tokens of warm welcome and hospitality all guests had opportunity to experience during their stay. Having breakfast surrounded with olive trees and grapevine, making barbecue at night under the stars, meeting very interesting people along, or just being lazy and reading in the hammock under the tree shadow – we enjoyed it to the fullest. I was so at piece those couple of days that it was almost heartbreaking to leave. I so look forward returning to Camp Karli as soon as possible. A very nice and tranquil place to pitch your tent between olive trees on the border of a typical Istrian village cluster. The owners are helpful and accessible. The shared kitchen is fully equipped and provide a cosy and airy place to eat before you start to plan your next day's programs using the wifi. The showers and toilets are clean and well equipped with liquid soap and paper towels. The campsite not being on the seashore means you won't have a direct beach access but also that you're spared from all the hubbub of the popular mass campings. Not to mention you pay less for all that. Also, the more central-Istrian location means you can reach everything pretty quickly, the A9 highway is less than 10 minutes away. A grocery store in neighbouring Kovači, just a quick bike ride away, provides all the basic ingredients for a good breakfast or lunch or local beers for the evening. All in all, highly...

Die drei Sterne gibt es für die Sauberkeit der Sanitäranlagen, den ruhigen Platz und für die Freundlichkeit der Besitzerin. Die Stellplätze verfügen alle über einen Strom- und Frischwasseranschluss. Die Stellplätze sind auf Schotter. Das Willkommensgeschenk ist eine nett Geste. Jedoch gibt es leider auch einige negativen Punkte. Zum einen wird mit einer Weinprobe und einem Stellplatz in den Weinreben und den Olivenhainen geworben. Wir dachten dadurch, dass wir auf einem Bauernhof stehen und viel über die regionalen Produkte erfahren werden. Dem ist leider nicht so! Die Weinprobe war lediglich eine Verkostung 2 warmer Weine aus einem Glas zu zweit. Über die Weine wurde kein Wort verloren. Daher war die Probe auch nach 5 min vorbei. Wir hatten uns einen Nachmittag dafür frei gehalten! Bei jeden anderen Weingut wird mehr über die Produkte erzählt. Trotz allem haben wir 3 Flaschen Wein gekauft weil wir gerne regionale Landwirte unterstützen. Hierbei ist uns aufgefallen, dass wir nur Bar zahlen können. Zu dem Zeitpunkt auch kein Problem. Jedoch dachten wir, dass wir lieber mal nachfragen, ob wir auch den Stellplatz Bar zahlen müssen, da wir nicht so viel Bargeld dabei hatten. Zu uns hieß es, dass es kein Problem ist und wir von der Zahlung her flexibel sind. Ende des Lieds: Wir wollten am letzten Tag vor der Abreise zahlen, da wir am nächsten Morgen früh los mussten. Als wir also die Rechnung begleichen wollten bekamen wir die Antwort, dass nur Barzahlung möglich sei. Also durfen wir an unserem letzten Tag noch schnell zu einem Automaten gehen nur weil falsche Angaben gemacht wurden. Am Tag zuvor sind wir noch an einem Automaten vorbei gekommen und hätten Problemlos Geld abheben können wenn die vorherige Aussage gestimmt hätte. Es ist total schade, dass hier mit falschen Dingen geworben wird, das hätte der Platz eigentlich nicht nötig und verursacht nur unmut. Wer auf der Suche nach einer anständigen Weinverkostung und einem Stellplatz mit Kontakt (bei den mam auch noch was lernen kann) zu den regionalen Erzeugern ist, sollte lieber wo...
