This is a small guest house in the rural area of eastern Croatia. The owner and the hotel staff are super helpful and do whatever they can to please you. The rooms occupy 2 floors and there is no elevator. The doors open to an outside hallway. There is ample room in both the bathroom and the bedroom. There is plenty of closet space but the electric plugs are difficult to get to. The shower is good with adequate water pressure and nice towels. Few amenities are provided. The door to my room wouldn't lock (I stacked my luggage up in front of the door!). The breakfast is fine with lots of choices. The bed was very uncomfortable as it wasn't a mattress but rather the box springs!! I was sleeping directly on box springs! So, I folded up one of the blankets in my room, and slept directly on it and everything was fine.||||In the evening, a local dance troupe entertained us and we had a wonderful time joining in the festivities. This is a wonderful, safe, clean place to spend the night. I probably wouldn't stay here for a longer period of time because it is quite rural, but to partake of the local culture, this is a...
Read moreI spend 5 days with my family at this great place. Nice and friendly people managing the hotel. They are full with ideas and offers - low cost, just to have fun and spend good time. We were on a program called "Baranja in 5 steps", visited some wineyards and of course we went to the Danube for some fishing. This was mine 4th trip to Piros Cizma, and I can tell that the team managing the Hotel, make great efforts to be the best in this region of Croatia. There are lots of new and modern food, they changed the whole menu in last 2 years, introduced a new way of thinking even for other restaurants in the region. All in all, I think, we will visit them again in a few weeks. So guys, good...
Read moreThe service was OK, the location isn't quite the best, but it doesn't cause that much of an issue. But the room I was put in was covered in mold from top to bottom. The odor was so strong you could hardly breathe. I also liked the Halloween decor in June, spider webs everywhere paired with mosquito colonies. Even when the boiler was turned on, there was no running warm water, plus it smelled awful. The tap water was undrinkable, and the sink worked just like a shower head, it sprayed the water all over you. Truly inhuman conditions. I really wish that I could give a 0 stars rating, because not being able to breathe, really made the...
