We stayed at these apartments for a week in October and had a fabulous time, really pleased with the choice we made. We had noticed a lot of the accommodation around here is quite old fashioned and dated, but these apartments are very modern and kept spotlessly clean. Nina (Lisa's daughter) was kind enough to collect us from the airport, even when our flight had a three hour delay which meant we arrived later than originally planned. There are two apartments available and both are newly renovated and furnished. We stayed in the apartment at the back of the house, but still had a sea view from the seating area at the top of the stairs, which actually proved to be better than a conventional balcony as it was roomier and had two aspects; one towards the sea and the other towards the mountains. The sunsets were amazing!||The bed was extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning was very efficient. It was great to have our own private kitchen area unlike some of Cavtat's apartments where you have to share a communal one. There was a fridge and kettle and a two ring cooker, although we only ate in once as there are so many great restaurants in Cavtat and prices are reasonable. We used the free wifi every day without a problem. My husband was invited into the house to have a drink with the family and they were so friendly and helpful from start to finish, Nina even dropping us off at the airport (free of charge) for our return flight. There is a supermarket close by where you can stock up on essentials, and the bus stop for the number 10 to Dubrovnik is also nearby. It is about a 7-10 minute walk into Cavtat itself and although it is uphill on the return, this wasn't a problem for us at all. In fact, it was nice to be in a residential area away from the hustle and bustle of the town and you almost felt like one of the locals. We cannot recommend Cavtat highly enough. It really is the most beautiful resort and so quaint and pretty. None of the other coastal towns nearby matched up to Cavtat! Although the town is on the flight path, the plane noise was not a problem as they don't fly during the night or early morning. We took the island boat trip to Kolocep, Sipan and Lopud which we thoroughly enjoyed as it gives you a flavour of the surrounding area and how beautiful it is. Dubrovnik is a must see city; it amazed us how wonderfully preserved it all is, particularly when you bear in mind the extensive damage it suffered during the war. It is also worth seeing in the evening as it comes alive and is beautifully lit which shows off the stunning buildings and amazing old streets. Cavtat is gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to Nina and her family for making our visit so special; we will always treasure the memories of...
Read moreI have been meaning to write this review since we stayed at Apartments Liza Cavtat in July last year (2014)!||My partner and I stayed in one of Liza’s apartments for a couple of nights at the end of our holiday in Croatia last year. We initially chose the apartment due to its great location; close to the airport and Cavtat town and for value for money. The apartment was spacious, clean and although a little dated had everything we needed. Liza and her husband (sorry I can’t remember his name now) were very friendly and keen to help us out with anything we needed. On our first evening there Liza spotted that my partner and I were walking down into the town for something to eat and as there was a thunder storm Liza kindly offered to run us down in her car to save us getting soaked. Liza’s husband, who runs a shop close to the harbour, also offered to buy my partner and me a coffee/beer when we got chatting to him one of the days, which was very kind of him. As the family have lived in the area for such a long time they were able to point us in the direction of the best places to eat/drink in Cavtat. Finally, when we enquired to Liza about taxi numbers so that we could book at taxi to the airport she offered to run us there herself without asking for any payment (obviously we insisted she take some payment for her kindness).||The only warning is...there is a relatively steep hill down to the harbour and restaurants etc.||Cavtat itself is beautiful, with numerous bars, restaurants and a very...
Read moreJust back from a great holiday in Cavtat. Apartments Liza was a great base, very clean, modern and comfortable. Only 5 minutes from the airport. Our rooms had a balcony, which got the sun in the morning and there was a small terrace at the door with chairs and a table too. The location was mainly residential and very quiet. Liza's daughter (Nina) collected us from the airport and drove us into Cavtat first for a coffee, then onto the apartment. Later we were invited to the family home for a beer and a chat. Antonio drove us to the airport for our return journey. A lovely family who made us feel very welcome.||The walk down into Cavtat central is lovely, with amazing views across to Dubrovnik. It is rather a steep walk back up (we did it twice a day) and might not be suitable for everyone. Don't let that put you of though, as the Dubrovnik buses from Cavtat are very frequent and cheap. Get of at the bust stop next to Logos apartment, which is at the end of Stjepana Radica. ||There is also a well stocked supermarket at the end of the road, with a very good selection...
