Guesthouse Oliva — Hotel in Općina Konavle

What a wonderful find! We stayed here for 1 week late May/early June, four adults. The apartment is situated at the end of a culd-a-sac so pretty quiet. We had a lovely big balcony with a large table, great for alfresco dining. The views were amazing. |Our hosts couldn’t of been lovelier, nothing was too much trouble, even when one of our party left their phone in Cavtat our host, Antonio, took him down in his car and waited while he collected it. |The apartment was clean and well equipped, the beds comfortable. Only downside for 4 adults was one bedroom was 2 single beds and decorated for children... but we tossed a coin for the double bedroom and won so I’m not complaining! |The walk down into Cavtat took about 15 minutes (as long as you keep to the left and keep going down for the shortcuts). Recommend you try the little restaurant on the left about halfway down (By The Way)... their food is amazing! Especially the lasagne, spaghetti carbonara, pizza and the mixed meat plate for 2.|The walk back was very steep and tiring so wouldn’t recommend you trying with small children or if you aren’t fit. The bus cost 20 kuna each and ask for the second stop to get off, for us the taxi was cheaper as this cost 60 kuna for 4 and of course took you straight to the door (recommend you take the address with you to make it easier although the taxi drivers are happy to follow directions.)|Lots to do in Cavtat which is incredibly clean, quaint and unspoilt. The walks round the peninsulas are well worth it and keep an eye out for the very playful black squirrels. The sea is crystal clear and both of Cavtat’s harbours are clean and oil free. Lots of spots to swim from although no real beaches. The boat taxis are a great way to travel down the coast and reasonably priced. A very helpful, kind and friendly family run the apartments .An inclusive transit service from and to the local airport is provided by the owners. We hired a car throughout our stay and on site parking was provided. The apartment was cleaned and fresh towels provided twice a week. We had our own balcony with table and chairs overlooking a very lovely garden. The property owners gave us at no cost excellent fruit grown in their garden and very tasty home produced cakes.The apartment is located only minutes from the beach and also near to the center of the village of Cavtat, where there are many excellent bars supermarkets and restaurants.The prices in restaurants and bars in this area are very reasonable. The apartment has very pretty, impressive and pleasant countryside surrounding it. Improvements that could be made to the accommodation include the following, living area sofa beds could be upgraded, more cooking utensils could be provided and a microwave oven supplied. This is a very clean and modern apartment with excellent bathroom facilities, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay for a holiday in this area, as it offers excellent...

Very affordable and fresh accommodation in a lovely part of Cavtat. The host is very nice and helpful. Comfortable bed and newly renovated bathroom. We had no cellular service in our room and the WiFi has its up and downs, but it was nice to sit just outside by the beautiful garden and watch a movie instead.
