Hotel Flanona — Hotel in Općina Kršan

Where do I start? Location: this is a hotel which is located at least 3km away from anything, and virtually invisible from the road as it is completely tucked away at the corner of the road.... All you can see from the outside is a small structure with 'hotel' stated on top and a large parking area. However, once you enter you realise it is a semi circular structure built on the edge of tbe the hilltop overlooking the most magnificent view of the fjord like sea channel directly below it. No words can express the absolutely gorgeous view you have. The restaurant takes advantage of this view with full height glass throughout. Food is varied, well presented and made from fresh ingredients. Portions are abundant too. All the rooms overlook the sea and make the most of this gorgeous view by large glass doors and terraces.... You can sit down on the terrace chair, look at the magnificent view below and forget all your troubles and take in the amazing scenery. Rooms are simply laid out but with excellent air-conditioning, well sized bathrooms and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Last but not least the staff are not the usual young students trying to make ends meet but true professionals who anticipate your every need. Suzanne and Bregitta do their best to make you feel at home. So the final conclusion is that this is one of the best locations we have ever been to and an excellent experience we will never forget. I’ve been a regular of this place for over 8 years. Over the years I’ve recommended it to friends and colleagues and brought over family and friends countless times. The food is alright-ish and pricey but the view is something you can’t get anywhere else in Istria. With that said, we won’t be coming back ever again thanks to the human trash they have hired to work in there. The younger server taking care of the outside tables with prepubescent moustaches really needs to learn some manners. No matter how bad the hiring situation might have gotten lately you simply cannot afford to hire people with this kind of attitude as they barely belong to the WC department let alone facing your clients to serve them...

Very comfortable hotel, in one of the most unique locations I've ever stayed. ||||The hotel, is situated on a bend on a very windy cliff road. The restaurant and check in are at ground level, and to access the rooms you actually descend downwards - it is build down along the gradient of the cliff. ||||Absolutely stunning views across the strait, to the island of Cres. ||||The rooms are very comfortable and bright. ||||The restaurant, has honestly one of the best terrraces you will ever eat at in terms of view.
