Pansion Oliva — Hotel in Općina Marčana

I'm still totally thrilled. Actually, we only wanted to stay one night. But then: the peace and quiet, the rooms with a small balcony, 2 chairs, a table and a frame to hang the wet bathing suits. The friendliness of the owners, the pool, the cleanliness. The Pansion is more of a small hotel. Everything is bright and friendly. The rooms are equipped with parquet floors, a double bed, a wardrobe, a desk and a refrigerator. When we came back from breakfast in the morning (perfectly sufficient for us), our room was already cleaned again. Every day there were fresh towels. If you are looking for accommodation away from tourism, in "the-middle-of-nowhere" and arrive by car, you will love the "Pansion Olivia". However, you have to be aware that there is nothing in the village, except for a small "market" (which is well equipped) and you always have to go by car to the restaurants and to the bays. We got cheap flights to Croatia then found accommodation was massively expensive. Found this place on booking.com and was a good price. You do need a car as it is a bit in the sticks. However only 10 minutes to the nearest beach and 30 minutes to pula in the car. ||The accommodation is quite basic but it does the job. Aircon is only available between 10pm and 7am and you have to pay 2 euro a day to use the fridge. ||The breakfast was good, a selection of bread, sausage, cheese, jams and yogurt. Also cereal. Tea coffee and orange squash were available to drink. ||The outdoor pool was great, not busy and plenty of sun loungers available. ||The bar is open 3pm to 11pm and reasonably priced. ||Loads of free parking at the front...

Was uns gut gefallen hat: Ein sehr sauberes Hotel, die Zimmer werden jeden Tag gereinigt, auch die Handtücher werden jeden Tag gewechselt. Kleiner Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer. Das Personal ist nett und freundlich. Schöner Pool und sauber und täglich gereinigt, Parkplätze kostenfrei mit auf dem Grundstück. Billardtisch war da. Balkon mit Wäscheständer.

Was uns nicht so gefallen hat: Frühstück war sehr einfach (was da war hat geschmeckt), gerne etwas frisches Obst und Gemüse , nicht aus der Dose, bzw große ganze Tomaten und Paprika waren zwar da, aber hat keiner groß genommen, da es zuviel für einen ist. Der Kaffee war okay, haben aber schon leckeren getrunken. Der Poolstaubsauger steht den ganzen Tag rum. Beim Billard fehlen Kugeln und das Dreieck ist kaputt. die Couch beim Billard hat ausgedient. Keine Selbstverpflegung möglich.

Fazit zu unserem Eindruck: Ich/wir möchte sagen, das eine Art Betriebsblind bei der Liebe zum Detail herrscht und somit die Liebe zum Detail nicht (mehr) gesehen wird, was sehr schade ist. Sauberkeit wird groß geschrieben, was gut Punktet. Das Hotel hat jedoch noch mehr Gemütlichkeits Potenzial, es müsste einfach nur ausgeschöpft werden. Wenn es ausgeschöpft werden würde, wird es locker eine 4* Unterkunft sein.

Unsere Ideen/Empfehlung: Poolsauger morgens reinigen und weg stellen. Billard Zubehör vervollständigen, ggf eine Dartscheibe beim Billardraum hinzufügen. Sitzecke beim Billard erneuern und etwas anderes aufteilen. Ggf eine Gemeinschaftsküche herrichten, da im Ort keine Restaurants sind, vielleicht möglich mit Getränke/Eis / Kaffee Automaten. Oder abends zum Beispiel 17-20 Uhr Imbiss mit Getränke Ausgabe anbieten. Schöner Garten mit mehr Potenzial kleine Beistelltische für den Poolbereich. Vielleicht eine kleine Grillecke herrichten. Blickdicht für Flaschen in Garten. Die Zimmer mit etwas mehr Liebe zum Detail einrichten Frühstück gerne etwas mehr Auswahl mit frischen Obst und Gemüse (geschnitten). Gerne auch Änderung bei den Handtücher wechsel, das Gäste Handtücher auf den Boden legen zum wechseln oder alle 3 Tage würde...
