The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the bay at Milna and we spent an excellent and relaxing two weeks.||We were dropped off at the adjacent gas station and it was not instantly clear where to find reception or that the staff will transport luggage to the room from the hotel entrance. Perhaps improved signage and an intercom would help as it’s difficult transporting luggage up the 40 steps to reception. ||Our first floor room was large, light and airy and benefited from a very comfortable bed, great air conditioning and a useful fridge. The sea view was lovely and we had a pleasant shaded terrace. WiFi was great throughout the hotel and sun terraces. ||There were several different areas to sunbathe. We chose to sit by the sea where we enjoyed watching the boats. In late June/early July we found this a lovely sunny spot although there are parasols if shade is preferred. There is a rooftop terrace with excellent views and sun terraces near the swimming pool. ||It is unusual and disappointing to be charged for beach towels. We were staying for two weeks and had sufficient luggage without packing towels. In a hotel of this standard we would expect these to be included. ||We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis as we like to try different restaurants although we heard that the half board option was very good. It was a pleasant walk into Milna where there is a great selection of places for meals. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent with a good hot and cold buffet which could be enjoyed inside or outside. ||On several occasions we had cocktails when returning to the hotel after dinner and these were reasonably priced for a hotel. We were surprised to find that the bar closed relatively early (before 11pm). Unfortunately we felt that the bar staff could have been more attentive as we had to go and order at the bar rather than them coming to us. In addition the drinks service could be improved if the waiters visited the sunbathing areas to take orders and collect used glasses from guests during the day. Regularly glasses were left all day and not collected by waiters. ||We had lunch in the hotel a few times and found the portion sizes to be generous. The food was good value and it was very pleasant enjoying our food on a shaded terrace with an excellent view. ||Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful in providing information on excursions and booking taxis for us. ||Despite a few minor niggles this was a great holiday and a lovely...
Read moreThings to be improved food (I’d never have anything other than breakfast here)
policy for sun beds (there were guests who left their personal belongings all day, without actually using them)
“private beach” is not completely private—locals come and go as well (I understand that legally, it’s not possible to own beach and therefore, locals have access too)
because of the prior point, this “adult only” hotel has kids near the beach at all times
smokers can smoke pretty much anywhere. If you hate secondhand smoking as much as I do, you might find it miserable.
rooms are NOT SOUNDPROOF. You can hear your neighbors chatting and their morning alarms very easily.

Things to note steps. There are many steps to most of rooms and your glutes are gonna get some workout! Not accessible to people with physical disabilities or bad knees, I imagine
EUR2.50 to rent one beach towel. I’ve never seen this policy before so I was a bit surprised.
pebble beach. Bring your aqua shoes! Flip-flops or slippers are not very useful here.

I think one of the easier things to implement might be separating “smoking area” so that non-smokers can stay comfortable and healthy. (For sun loungers and dining area) The beautiful scent of pine trees and fig trees were ruined by the constant cigarette smoke. What a shame.
For food, I went to restaurants nearby because our first lunch was so mediocre that I didn’t want to have any food there again. Tuna tartare was too salty and the salad was just so-so.
Some towels in the room were too old and had holes.
Staffs are friendly, professional, and helpful. I have to note that Juan (bartender?) was especially kind and friendly, as well as all receptionists.
Overall, it was a relaxing stay but I think there are simple things to be done to improve...
Read moreJust got back from a lovely holiday at the Milna Osam. Overall really happy with our stay.
Rooms: We were on the top floor, which for us wasn’t a problem at all. We didn’t mind getting our steps in but do be aware there are A LOT of steps!!
Rooms are spacious, but 4th floor do not have a view. Again not an issue for us as we never spend long in the rooms. There is also a club deck right outside the 4th floor rooms which was great to sit and chill and watch the world go by.
Our room was a little tired however, flooring was tired and coming up and marks on the wall from what looks like water damage. We later found out why… there was a big storm one morning and we came back to our bathroom (which is at the front - you literally walk into the bathroom!) completely flooded!! The cleaners were brilliant though and straight on it and cleaned up the water immediately. But could see exactly why some of the floor boards were tired if this is a regular occurrence.
Food/drinks Could not fault the food - breakfast had great choice and always really fresh, lunch was great, we particularly enjoyed the salads and the tortilla wraps and dinner was exceptional. We were just B&B but ate a few times as the food was that good! Excellent choice of drinks but are on the pricier side for cocktails - as expected in a 4*!
Location: Milna is a fantastic harbour town. About a 15-20 minute walk in the centre with lots of little Konobas and bars. Great time waster watching the boats come in and out! Could be that it was the end of the season but we also found it quite quiet which we absolutely loved!
As per other reviews, it is a shady area. Looses the sun quite quickly but there are some lovely little beaches round the corner or if you walk to the other side of the bay the beach there has the...
