Having traveled to over 20 European countries I vote this as the best luxurious boutique apartments in Europe!||This family run hotel is all about service, great hospitality and amazing food.||The location is 10/10, the bay in front makes the ocean calm & beautiful! The gentle waves laps up at the rocks to make a gentle soothing sound that makes sleeping any where at any time a real treat! ||The restaurant serves some amazing dishes ranging from succulent steaks to freshly grilled seafood. Live lobsters are on the menu as well. We tried a one pot slow cooked calamari & octopus with vegetables, every mouth gave me a OMG moment! Sensational flavours!||They are happy to cater to your specific needs if you have any requests or particular cravings and this option is priceless. They also serve a great selection of local wines! ||Breakfast was scrumptious and overlooking the ocean which was breathtaking. They treat every customer individually, unlike established hotel chains that have rules the staff at pine tree go over and beyond to ensure you have a great time!||The apartments are well appointed and beds are comfortable! The bathroom is good with great shower pressure!! They also have a kitchen with all utensils and a fridge! ||They have many non motorised beach activities which are free! ||The infinity pool has great views! We opted to swim in the bay, as the water was awesome!||I must give special mention to the owner Ana who would also ensure we were well looked after! ||Danijela & Alberto along with the other staff were courteous and always ready to serve! His famous saying could be heard over and over again ||“You are on vacation so you must do nothing but enjoy!” ||That we truly did!! ||If you are travelling with children, Ana’s daughter Lorena is adorable and if around the place (if on school holidays) will make your kids feel right at home and have a super time! The beach and bay is shallow and full of fish and is a very family friendly area to swim. ||There are private speed boats available from Dubrovnik that cost between EURO200-250 one way to get to this spot. ||Alternatively you can take the ferry from Dubrovnik at a cost of Kn 100 (euro 15 per person) which will take you 55 mins to Mljet island and then take a taxi (Kn250) to pine tree.||We had a excellent taxi driver in the island who picked us and dropped us her name is Anita and number is...
Read moreAna and Ivo are amazing hosts and have created a perfect little hotel on the coast of Mljet. We stayed for two nights, and had breakfast and dinner once each.||||Rooms: Clean, tasteful, thoughtfully stocked with a full kitchen set, and overlooking a jaw-dropping view of the sea.||||Location: It's a little out of the way of the park, but with a rental car (highly recommended) we had no issue. We hit all the major sites on the island in two days with no issue, and we're happier to stay at a nicer hotel than one of the lower end hotels closer to the park.||||Food: Excellent. Ana is a very talented cook. Everything was fresh from the garden and sea, and they were totally accommodating of our dietary restrictions. I'm not sure how many courses breakfast would have been if we hadn't insisted to Ivo that we were full as he brought one after another. Dinner was perfectly cooked tuna and vegetables (requested specifically). The kitchen is extremely impressive, with a large wood burning oven, AND brick pizza oven, and multiple other convention ranges and ovens.||||Hospitality: Everyone was warm, welcoming, and gracious. Ana also helped us no-questions-asked in a tricky real car situation, and was more than happy to give us tips for how to best explore the Island.||||Overall, the location is remote but very charming, I would highly recommend the hotel to any...
Read moreStayed with my partner for only one night at the beginning of September and really wish we had booked and extra few nights. Hotel was spotless and very picturesque. Our room perfect aswell and worth every cent we paid. I couldn’t speak higher of the staff there though as before we checked in we had spent a day in Mljets National park on the other end of the island(about a 45 min drive) when on our way there our rental car got a flat tire. No spare wheel and no phone signal we became stranded in the middle of nowhere for over an hour. To keep a long story short after managing to get phone signal and contacting the hotel to tell them we’d be late checking in, they then couldn’t of been more helpful. Arranged for us to be collected and brought to the hotel where we had a lovely evening in the hotel restaurant. Food was fantastic. The next morning Anna in the hotel had been making calls from 7am to help us out. Eventually lending us a spare tire to get to the mainland to have ours fixed and also having us brought back up to our car the next day. They really couldn’t of done more for us and made a very stressful situation a lot easier to deal with( no mechanic or tire place on the island) its safe to say we will 100% be back in the future for a longer stay to be able to fully enjoy Anna’s fantastic hotel. Would...
