Villa Evita Apartments — Hotel in Općina Mljet

Okay! For anyone that is well travelled you do not ever STAY in Mljet. This was my first airbnb experience and will be the last. It was so noisy on the first night bc of other families and there are only 3 restaurants on the island! Only one is good, close to this flat run and owned by my friend. || ||We spent 800 euros on groceries. Took three taxis 500 kuna each and left within 12 hours bc it was so terrible. We were given one half of a blanket to sleep with and we had to use it use my son and I suffer from heat strokes. ||||I booked this because the daughter seemed sophisticated but after spending one evening we RAN. They refuse to refund us bc the parents are so old school and don't understand. I invited the mother to our room before we left to hug her , it's absolutely ridiculous! I booked a ferry off that island STAT along with a 5 star hotel which is fabulous and in civilization. ||||My advice to anyone wanting to visit Mljet is do it only be BOAT! The owners daughter is a complete liar, it was a horrific...

Evita is the best :) They have hosted us and our parents on several occasions. Proximity to the sea is amazing in a very peaceful and small bay, so you have a perfect balance of privacy and social interaction. You can choose either. Not to mention that the bay has a perfect sea temperature, which suits families with small children, crystal clear as well with a small sandy beach. Mljet is a very sparsely populated, so tourism is reserved for apartments and houses which are not that many. The apartments are impeccably clean and the hosts are very nice people, always there to help out. Everything that you might need will be there. As for the downsides, grocery stores are not so close, so it does require some planning, which is not that of an issue. We had the apartment for 6 per on top floor. The apartment was simply fabulous! The view was spectacular, and the apartment was very comfortable. We had everything we needed and the host, Mrs. Jelena was wonderful, very warm and hospitable. Each room in the apartment had an air-con, the kitchen was well supplied, and the place was spotless!
