This is a hidden gem. We got tipped by a local to go here, even though it was a 1:30 mins drive. And he was correct, the drive there is an experience in itself, going through multiple small towns and over winding roads to eventually end up on the side of a hill with a view over the entire valley.

You can choose from a couple of dishes (1 or 2 appetizers), mostly pastas and meat, which are served in large bowls.

We had the truffle pasta, sage ravioli and lamb, all of which were phenomenal, but the portion size is a little on the small side (ordered 9 portions for 7 persons).

Besides the amazing food, they also had a range of homemade juices and wines. This is brewed in the shed behind the restaurant where you can also buy them by the bottle.

We visited this restaurant 17 July 2019 for lunch.The hosts were charming and most accommodating. The service and food was exceptional and we recommend a visit if you're In the area. The chef described all the dishes on offer for that day and was able to offer me a gluten free dish without any fuss. Both our meals were delicious; the pasta was excellent. We heard the host speaking to their guests in Croatioan, Italian and with us in English. Well worth a visit and a little stop at Benvenutivina Winery in Kaldir on the way back will top off your visit...

BEST lunch experience in Istria !!! Lunch at an eco farm/farm house where everything we ate was made from the farm. From the freshly squeezed juices to the wine to the homemade pastas to the veggies to the pork and lamb. It was delicious and the whole experience was just amazing. The owner was friendly and we even went into his wine cellar afterwards and tasted some more of his wines that were first class ! Highly recommend this place !!!
