I'm reviewing the free zone where we pitched our tent: We checked in for 3 days but ended up checking out after the 1st night. It wasn't a good time but mostly because we pitched at the far end of the camp. The closest bathroom is 400m away and in the area only 6 electricity sockets are available in total. They were all occupied of course. Trash is located a little far from there, too and there's very bad lighting, so don't forget your flashlight when you make a trip to the bathroom at night. There is a small farm zoo right next to the pitch area, where smell was coming from every now and then. A small lake is located there too, where geese reside, which is also somewhat smelly, especially in the evening. Normally i don't mind that, but the camp has a completely different clean and fancy vibe on the other side of a parking lot which divides the free zone from the mobile homes and private lots for tents and motor homes. It doesn't feel right, like you're cut away from the rest of the camp.
General opinion of the whole camp: Honestly if you're staying in your own private lot or in a mobile home, you'll be fine and probably have a great time, but if you chose the "cheaper option" and pitch in the free zone, the feeling is a little off. We felt pushed away, as if staying in a different campsite alltogether. There's nothing happening there, no one but us peasants come here and you're hidden behind the parking lot for cars of those who stay in the mobile homes.
In general the campsite is very well maintained, beautiful and the bathrooms are clean. There's lots of activities going on throughout the day, the beach is lovely, the sea is nice and there's lots of space to swim. And the staff are super friendly.
Both restaurants are super expensive, we ate at the one by the pool and the pizzas were delicious. The location isn't that great because the only road leading anywhere is jammed throughout the day and the ride to the closest store or a trip to the closest town is long and tiresome due to the traffic. It's probably why everything is so expensive at the camp. That and being on an island probably. The views from the camp aren't that great either. There's a city of Rijeka across the sea and some factory looking thing. Some will mind the close proximity of an airport which is located practically across the street, we though it was cool seeing the airplanes land and take off throughout the day. The market in the camp is okay but doesn't have a lot in terms of fruit and vegetables, and none of meat. It forces you to eat in their expensive restaurants or drive in the traffic jam all day.
My recommendation to the camp is to: -Add another bathroom in the free zone area. -Add lighting on the side which leads to the bathroom so people don't trip throug spiky plants along the way at night. The light from the road is blocked by the trees and it's pitch black at night there. -Add trash in the area. -Increase the number of available electricity sockets. There's not nearly enough. -Increase the number of water wells. -Sell meat and a larger variety of fruit and veggies in the market. It still wouldn't be cheap to buy but would also give the guests an option to cook their meals for a better price, than having to eat their food in your expensive...
Read more[ ] If it is a five stars camping some things could be practical. [ ] We stayed here 6 days, but 2 of it has no electricity. Thats why we could not cook dinner and the refrigerator stands in water 2 times, thats why we should buy 2 times more a pack of ice. UPS Unit can solve this problem. [ ] This was our first camp experience, that why we had only 230V electric extension cord. I asked the reception, that can I rent a 400V to 230V converter cabel and there was not. The offered me a shop at the round about (I bought one). Afternoon I went to the Camping Market and there were lots of converter. So I shoud have not been go to the supermarket... [ ] The morning pilates at 9:30 every morning. Why the facility people clean the road that time with noisy leaf blower? This program needs calming ang concentrating. [ ] At the "Pilates" and "Sunset stretching" can be better if the trainer use a speaker instead of music playing on the phone. [ ] Why must the garbage truck go around in the camp every morning? It is a very noisy diesel truck at 6:30!!! Every morning we woke up for this, it is very distubing az and irritating. You should have move all the containers to the entrance or use electric garbage truck. It is not so professional. [ ] On thursday there was an acustic concert, but we did not find any advertise about this. [ ] The people at the reception can not inform about the programs. I have been needed an information about which place take part the "sunset streching" program and they knew nothing about that. Nobody understood the "sunset streching" expression. This is the name of the program at...
Read moreThis is the best camping I ever visited! We spontaneously decided to sleep there and we arrived while it was dark. We were told there are only a couple of sanitary options, pretty far from the free camping area. It was rather frustrating to walk so far and I was imagining how I will manage to (sleep) walk there if I had to use the restroom in the middle of the night. I was lucky I did not have to, because the ways in the free camping area are poorly lit. The sanitary oasis or village (because there is no better word to describe this) was impressive! Miele washing machines and dishwashers, rain showers, an area for kids with smaller facilities, german radio in the background and also cabins with only a sink (which I did not quite understand). My first reaction was: please invest only a fraction of what this toilet paradise costs and put at least a porta potti next to the free camping area... Anyways, next morning I found two toilets next to the barbecue area. They are not on the map! But it totally changed my mind about the camping. Also the facts that there were cats and bunnies hopping around the tents and campers. 🥰 I also found the petting zoo and my happiness level was at a maximum! It is obvious that the animals are loved, have a lot of room to live a happy life and the fences are only for the people that have no respect. The caretakers do their work happily with passion for the animals. I liked this place so much, we decided to stay another night. Long story short: a wonderful place! If the owners read this: please put the toilets on the map and train the reception personal a little...
