We went as a couple in early September for one week. The weather was fantastic, averaging at about 28 degrees each day. The hotel was clean, the gardens were pretty but it was very quiet. ||Paying the extra for the sea view is definitely worth it! We were in room 5. This was a good size, with wooden floors (many had carpets), a huge south-facing veranda and spectacular views over the water to Korcula town. |There was no entertainment at the hotel in September. What entertainment that there was, was in a sister hotel, Grand Azur, next door. However on the poster of activities in our hotel, it didn't explain this, and the timetable of activities was incorrect. We did point this out both to the hotel reception, and to the animation team in the Grand Azur, but the poster was not replaced during our stay. Saying this, we did pop to the Grand Azur one evening and found out about the cycle trips. We took the free cycle trip the following morning and it was a highlight of our stay.||The food at our hotel was of an excellent quality although it did not vary much from day to day, or between lunch and dinner. We particularly enjoyed the whole grilled fish - whitebait, sardines and even whole trout - which we'd not come across before in buffet-style half board restaurants before. We enjoyed the local dishes on offer - chips were rarely on the menu. The wine and beer was remarkably good for full board plus.|The location of the hotel was beautiful in itself, as was the path along the sea to Orebic town. The Orsan is the furthest west of the hotels and the walk to the town and the boat to Korcula was a mile (1.6km). Although a pleasant walk to do, once we'd done it a few times we wished there was an option of public transport. |Another highlight of our holiday was a sightseeing and wineries tour of Korcula which we booked in Korcula Town. After a tour of the island in an open top minibus, we visited 3 wineries, tasting a total of 10 wines as well as some liqueurs, olive oil etc! It cost 75 euro each but we felt it was excellent value for a...
Read moreWe had a three nights staying at Orsan Maradiso. Honestly, we enjoyed everything. The road to Orebic than hotel was spectacular with few stops to enjoy the landscape and winery celars. We were pleasantly welcomed to hotel. The front desk girl patiently informed us on everything in details about hotel, town, region wonders, and activities. Our rom was quite spacious, clean and located on the west-sea side with nice balcony and pleasant view of islands. Staff was perfectly correct and helpfull. We also enjoyed so much the variety of food on three meal ranges. As vegetarian, I found a diverse opportunities of choosing local and Mediterranean dishes including tasty sweets. We so much enjoyed the beach just in front of hotel on very clear water and clean surroundings. A perfect place to safety walk and along easy- nice paths around, enjoying some other beaches. Nice and very safe place for cycling. Meanwhile walking to Orebic after diner was an easy-pleasant experience, through a nise path along a forest on the sea side when enjoyed so much the environment of nice small bars with diverse dinks and vey affordable prices. Another great thing was the visit by ferry of Korcula island. Was quite worthwhile paying like 7 Euros for a round trip per person to visit one of the Adriatic pearls. Wonderful place for people who care about history, architecture and ethnography. Even in a windy day, location of Orsan it gives you a buon challenge to enjoy water sports like wind surfing on the sea side of small town of Kuciste while you can rent all kind of gears and traing in...
Read moreAwesome hotel! We spent 6 days in the hotel at the beginning of August. After a long journey from south of Poland split up on safety purpose to 2 days, with a stop in Zadar, we reached the hotel and were nicely welcomed by the hotel receptionist. The room we were allocated was on the 2nd floor with sea view. The look it offers is definiately amazing. The landscape of the sea, Korcula island and boats crossing by in the sea plus ever lively green plants. The hotel is located at the Orebic suburbs and is linked with the center withbwalkway path by the sea. It makes the fantqstic experience to get to know the area around bybwalking. I used to go for a rum nearly every morning till the end of the path at the Triestina beach with a short stop by at the Orebic port. The hotel is medium size therofore the number of the people is not so large. So. You nwver feel to be overcrowded. An anothee asset is the restaurant. The meals they offer for all breakfast , lunch and dinner is delicious. I did not expected frankly this. The rooms are well cleaned avery days and the overall staff is so helphful. All in all I fell in love in the area and I know I will be getting back there. All thanks to the hotel for so pleasurable holidays you...
