The pitches are big and (apart from the gravel ones and the separated small area close to the camper service area) they are VERY central, so everything is reachable with a 2 min walk. Apity that in some areas of the pitch the grass is not there anymore, and with the rain everything becomes dirty, they should try to restore those areas. Reception are very kind and fast, very quick check in/out. I needed the service man for some technical problem and he came very fast and fixed it. The number of bathrooms, toilets and showers is too small for the number of people, but someway we rarely had to wait in queue. Someway it works, but they should increase it. They are cleaned very regularly. For some strange reason the bar guy kicked the kids out of the pool at 22:15, in an unpolite way, despite the closure time was 23hs. He said "enough for today, I have to clean the pool". I consider it a single isolated incident, I reported the case to the reception and quite sure it will not happen again.

In my view there are 3 big negatives: There is no shop. This is very annoying. So if you travel with a camper and need small things eg you finished mosquito spray.. it is a problem. Ok then you think that there is a restaurant inside. But it is SOOOO expensive !!!! but really expensive!!! so it is quite uncomfortable that you do not have a shop and the only back up is a VERY expensive restaurant (despite they give a 10% discount for camping's customers). They provide a (non-cheap) shuttle service for 30 EUR for closeby locations (eg 10 min ride). But if you want to go somewhere else, eg cave or kayaking, the shuttle is not available. They sais only option is taxi, but it would cost some 150 EUR.... for 12 km.... so, again, pack everything and use the camper for daily movements.. quite uncomfortable. This is a general problem of the area.. a lot of interesting activities but no easy and cheap way of reaching them. If they solved it the entire area...

Mixed Feelings about that place. We spent a few days in June 2021 at this camping lot and in general I would recommend the place. Everything is very new, stylish, clean. The restaurant has good snacks, we did not order main courses. But... First, when we arrived, having pre-booked a "premium pitch" they told us that the others didn't move out so we would have to take a place in "Part 4". That part has way smaller pitches, about 40-50sqm, is smelly and really not "premium". It looked rather half-finished. Then I complained and all of a sudden I could choose which premium pitch I'd like. It turned out, they had a party that evening and wanted all the others "outside". That is an ABSOLUTE NO GO! You cannot sell premium pitches and then deliver substandard just because you've got a booking. Therefore -2 Stars. Also as the place is very new, all the trees are tiny, so there's absolutely no shadow. How this works in a hot summer I can't imagine. Probably 2025/2027 this won't be an issue anymore but if you plan to go there in July and also to stay part of the day in your camper, this will be a challenge. Furthermore, while everything seems new, we did not find a place to drop our garbage. There were only little bins as can be found in a park. Only outside there's an area where you can dump greywater and there might be some dumpsters too. That doesn't seem well planned and gets -1 Star. The pool is nice but unheated, which is a pity as this makes the pool really cold until Mid-June. When we stayed there there seemed to be no "night time" where noise has to stop. We had music from the bar until midnight, but I guess the young crew will get that straightened out. Also the restaurant has really good food, way better than it's normal. that's +1 Star. Everything was really clean and there seemed always to be a lady cleaning the bathrooms. +1 Star. So I find myself with mixed feelings about that camping place, it has great potential,...

We wanted to explore rural Croatia and view the Pitvice waterfalls so booked 3 nights here with 3 kids.

We arrived early and our mobile home was ready. Checking was quick and friendly staff.

Our mobile home was not as pictured on the website. We thought it was on the main bit and I heard others complaining that Thier cabin was not as advertised, but I could not be bothered to argue about it. Basically our cabin and 8 others are new, (probably this year) and built at the back of the park. Our view was good, but not quite what we expected from the website.

The restaurant seemed overpriced, but the service and food was good and the food was in big portions.

All staff were friendly.

Upon checkout, if you checkout late, there is a €25 and hour fee. As our flight was at 10pm, I came to reception to ask about this and it felt like it was communicated that if we stayed till 11, it was fine, but if we stayed till 12 we would be charged, do we checked out at 11 and were told we had to pay. I said we had been told otherwise, but ( like other businesses) they went defensive and said I was wrong and they called the person I spoke with, she said I was wrong... So eventually I said "whatever, I don't agree, but I will pay"... At this point she waived the charge, so a bitter sweet final engagement where she could have just said "sorry for the miscommunication, we will waive the charge" instead of making me speak the person on loudspeaker in front of other people and my kids.

Also, the pool is cold. Not sure if it's supposed to be like this or the heater is broken, but everyone I saw going in was like "ohhhhhhh, it's freezing".

Location is great with loads of woods to run in, unless you are scared of bears, wolves, big cats and wild boar. :-)

We did not see any entertainment, but it's a small park and there is no shop, just a...

Posting this review to warn others, as the campsite itself seems unwilling to be clear and honest with it's customers. I also don't want people to experience what we have and for it to potentially ruin their holiday. Our review is for the motorhome/camping car pitches labelled sunny premium. On the website you are shown an image but the whole campsite on the website looks green and spacious with nice pitches laid out for visitors. It's very pricey compared to other campsites in the area, but the restaurant and facilities look good. When we arrived to check in the lady behind the desk asked, unprompted, "did you see the pictures on the email of your pitch when booking?". This sent alarm bells ringing. We said no - we had no images sent to us. She clarified she meant the image on the website. She invited us to take a look ourselves. When we went to the pitches it was just a dusty car park. There were chalk lines on the ground for pitches. There was no green, no shade, building work going on, red and white tape everywhere. It was a building site. There was no way we were staying here for almost double what you can get elsewhere. We complained and after some convincing we were allowed to avoid the cancellation fee. I sensed that the receptionist had received similar complaints from other people so did not want the argument. Luckily we found somewhere else otherwise it would have ruined our anniversary trip. If you are booking here make sure you know what you are getting. My advice... Save your money, go elsewhere.

Camping Plitvice is such an incredible place!!! They offer mobile homes in addition to traditional camping. My friends and I stayed in the mobile homes during a Digital Nomads of Croatia (DNA) retreat and we had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, the rooms were pristine and well-equipped, and best of all the staff was absolutely incredible: kind, helpful, and accommodating. Two standouts are the manager Anja and the concierge Martina. Anja went above and beyond to ensure my group was happy, well-fed, and comfortable throughout our stay. She offered recommendations on local activities, and even organized a celebration for a friend of ours who had a birthday over our stay — complete with cake! And Martina was so sweet and patient during check-in, check-out, and all the moments in between. She made us feel welcomed and right at home the second we arrived, and she even stored our groceries for us since we arrived a few hours before check-in! Thank you Anja, Martina, and the whole Camping Plitvice team for providing such a wonderful experience during my stay!! I’ll be back for sure 😊
