CROATIA – Plitvica – Eva Luxury Apartments – 2018 ||||||The House Keeper Lady Nicola was super helpful. We left a Cellphone on the Bus. Fortunately Nicola knew the Bus Driver. Without hesitation, she made swift plans and had it returned back to us within an hour. Thank you to Nicola ! ||||The apartment is newly renovated, was neat and clean, very close to a Supermarket and fairly close to a local Pizzeria and the Mukunje Bus Stop, making it a very convenient position. ||||The establishment is approximately 500 meters from the entrance of the park, however it is approximately a 2klm walk to the closest gate entrance 2, where your Tickets can be purchased. It is possible to walk to gate 2, otherwise you night want to take a Taxi or a local Bus due to the distance and the steep terrain. ||||If you are travelling by Bus from Split to Plitvica Jazera or from Plitvica Jazera to Zagreb etc, it would be from the same Mukunje Bus Stop, which is a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Croatia has a very reasonable and reliable Intertown Bus Service that you might also want to make use of.||||The block itself is a little run down and smells a bit damp and musty. Building materials lying around at the entrance. The grounds could with some...
Read moreContradictory feeling to my stay here for 2 nights, originally 3 nights but Nikola helped me to shortened my stay efficiently. ||Located in the 2nd floor of an apartment building no. 27, at the hill top where about 1km walk uphill from the busstop. (1) Carrying a luggage walking uphill under snowy and cold weather is not that pleasant, if you take bus here instead of driving. (2) Moreover, nobody answer the door except you call Nikola upon arrival - that means you need to have a mobile phone which can make local call. (3) need to pay cash, either in EUR or Kuna, upon arrival which I didnt expect that. (4) the shortcut walk to the entrance 2, about 1km, was slippery and fully covered by snow during my stay. (5) No food service provided by this accommodation. Only 1 restaurant in this small village Mukinje which means you have to try your luck not waitin long or cook yourself (my room has no kitchenware). ||All in all, I like this apartment especially for its strong shower, strong wifi and washing machine. Nikola is nice and helpful, he replied...
Read moreThe apartment itself has a everything you'd need. From a fully equipped kitchen, to a bathroom with a washing machine. It's important to note that the place is very warm and comfortable. It's also very clean and the marketplace is 3 mins away on foot. A little extra that made us happy was that the owner is thoughtful enough to leave a few instant coffees ready and there is some washing powder for our clothes :) The apartment is in the little place called Mukinje but right below it is a path that leads directly to entrance 2 of the nation park Plitvice lakes (20-30 mins walk). Due to crossing the forest to get to the entrance I personally recommend to return before night fall. Another important note/information. There is a bus stop at Mukinje and flixbus drives through it (the bus company is Knežević). If you go from Mukinje to Zagreb there is a bus at 9:45. It might be quite late (I'm taking 20-30 mins late) so if it doesn't arrive on time don't worry about it much. It will do so...
