We stayed here for three nights and enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly family hospitality. We got home late a few nights and they graciously opened the kitchen and made us dinner. ||The rooms are plenty big and they have adequate facilities. If you are two people or a family, they have the accommodations. You can rent a room or they have a cottage kind of place as well.||The market is about 10 minutes from the hotel, and you can actually park along that rode for free and do a short hike to entrance 2 of Plitvice Lakes National Park. In the opposite direction, about 15 minutes away is a gas station and a hospital, should you need it. There are also restaurants about 10 minutes away that you can go eat at if you choose not to eat at the family's diner.||The food is very good. They start you off with soup, we had like a chicken noodle soup, but with beef instead of chicken. They offer a few different dinner options, but the main ones are schnitzel with some form of potatoes, or a meat plate that has sausages and other types of meat, plus potatoes. Then they give you some vegetables and after dinner they give you some kind of dessert.||Most of the family speaks English, so you can get along well with everyone. They have a giant trampoline and a couple of friendly dogs, which won't bother you, if you don't like dogs.||Be aware that because they are a small business, if you want to pay with card rather than cash, you will be...
Read moreThe room is pretty basic but you do get a private bathroom. The location would be fine if you have a car to travel to nearby towns/villages but having arrived on the bus from Split we felt totally stranded as there is nothing nearby. The hosts were very nice and did give us a few lifts but we also had to rely on overpriced taxis. A big draw for us was the advertised 'vegan breakfast' but when we turned up they didn't really know what vegan was. As there was nothing in the area we ended up having dinner here too, for a meat eater I'm sure the food was good. They assured us they could make us something vegan but unfortunately we ended up with a chopped up veg 'salad', plain overboiled veg and rice and fruit. Similarly, for breakfast we had to make do with fruit, bread and jam. Although they tried hard to accommodate for us we got the feeling they were desperate to offer us something so they could charge us for food (even with the discount they gave us it was still very expensive compared to many other places in Croatia). Unless you have a car or are willing to splash out I would recommend Plitvice Lakes as a day trip. I don't want to sound too negative as they were lovely people but we feel we were a...
Read moreGlumac family rooms is a great place to be stay at. The location is few minutes away from Plitvice national Park entrance 2. The guest house has beautiful gardens around it, great for a walk or for kids to explore nature. We booked our stay on Airbnb and paid 90 USD per night and extra fee for breakfast and dinner. I recommend both! The food cooked was made with love and tastes great! You get a full course of soups, salads and main course followed by desserts, all home made, all very tasty! The room served it's purpose and had all the essentials, we had our room cleaned daily. Dule and his family are very kind people and morning chats with them made our stay beautiful! I highly recommend the place to everyone, couples or families with kids, it's a great place! We will be going again next year with our kids and will book the 2...
