Positives: top notch hotel - no expenses have been spared - quality material in airco, chairs, mattress - little frigo in room - we had a hotel room - apartment is also possible - great modern shower - all soaps and creams you can want, great pool - a bit cold depending on the weather - i guess not heated - infinity view makes it extra nice nice town with a lot of restaurants to choose from - beach is small - beach of pebbles which in turn give us clear water up to 4-5 meters depth Negatives: The road to the Hotel is daunting - for people not used to drive up a mountain with no hard road but just rocks and sand it feels they will break their car - it was a major downside to this otherwise great hotel - I hope a proper wide road will be implemented soon in the future as the town promised - now it felt like a road for the 4X4 to have some fun - no fun for an automatic volkswagen passat Breakfast was very limited - only 8 choices on the menu and no buffet to choose from - if you stay for 8 days you have eaten everything after 4 days as you are allowed two choices every day - suggesting is to make a buffet possible as we had in all our other hotels + the 8 choices There was no staff or food available around lunch - suggestion - put a vending machine so that people can buy drinks and some food - sandwiches or something - if you want to stay at the pool all day you need food - appartments do not have this problem but hotel guest do have this problem Location of the hotel - tell people that the hotel is up very high a mountain and that the road is tricky - sand and stones + put signs along all the roads with both names heritage and liberan - we did not find the hotel by ourselves - put signs telling 500m - 400m - 300m ... we were not sure we were going the right way and were afraid we would end up somewhere on the top of the mountain with no way back

If you are looking for an accommodation away from tourism, a special feel-good atmosphere and super nice and stylish ambience, I recommend the Hotel Liberan. ☀️🌊 Initially booked only for a week, it was already clear to us on the second day that we will spend our entire vacation (2 weeks) here. You just can't get enough of the view down to the sea and we have never eaten so deliciously in Croatia before as we did here. Every morning and evening the food is fresh, local and prepared with artistic finesse. The owner Srdjan & chef Krizan pay attention to every detail, always support with all things natural and completely pamper their guests. The peaceful location of the hotel and the fantastic pool are what particularly appealed us. Away from the hustle and bustle, you really have the opportunity to forget everyday life, relax and escape all the hectic of normal tourism. Nevertheless, the beach is just 5 minutes aways (by car) and all doors are open when it comes to planning trips, exploring new cities or starting hikes or bike tours directly from the house. Our dogs were also very welcome and enjoyed their stay. We will gladly come back and could not have dreamed our vacation any better. And what we loved most – take a look at the pictures 😉

Einzigartiges Erlebnis im Heritage Hotel Liberan - Herzliche Gastfreundschaft trifft auf atemberaubende Natur und Kultur Unser Aufenthalt im Heritage Hotel Liberan war zweifellos ein einzigartiges und unvergessliches Erlebnis. Als einer der ersten Gäste durften wir nicht nur die herzliche Gastfreundschaft von Srdjan, dem Besitzer, sondern auch die kulinarischen Meisterwerke von Küchenchef Krizan genießen. Bereits bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir vom Hotelbesitzer Srdjan und Koch Krizan persönlich begrüßt. Obwohl es zu Beginn einige kleine Startschwierigkeiten und Mängel gab (Hotel hatte für diese Jahr gerade neu geöffnet), wurden diese sofort behoben, und alles in der Macht stehende wurde getan, um sicherzustellen, dass wir uns rundum wohlfühlen. Und das mit Erfolg, denn bereits am zweiten Tag haben wir unseren planmäßigen einwöchigen Aufenthalt und eine weitere Woche verlängert! Unser Zimmer war geschmackvoll, hochwertig und modern eingerichtet und bot einen atemberaubenden Blick auf das Meer, die Inseln und die imposanten Berge. Die Sonnenuntergänge, die wir vom Hotel aus erleben konnten, waren einfach magisch und sorgten jeden Abend für einen unvergesslichen Moment. Krizan, der talentierte und junge Küchenchef des Hotels, überraschte uns mit seinen kulinarischen Kreationen. Seine Gerichte waren nicht nur ein Fest für die Augen, sondern auch für den Gaumen. Die Verwendung regionaler und gesunder Zutaten verlieh seinen Speisen eine einzigartige Note, die uns jeden Tag aufs Neue begeisterte. Ich kann jedem empfehlen, die Halbpension zu buchen, da sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen wirklich extrem gut und nicht zu vergleichen sind mit der „normalen“ regionalen Küche in Kroatien, die wir bis dahin kennengelernt haben. Die besondere Lage des Hotels in den Bergen ermöglichte es uns, die Schönheit der Natur in vollen Zügen zu genießen. Ich hatte das Vergnügen, fast jeden Tag mit dem E-MTB tolle Trails zu erkunden, die direkt vom Hotel aus starteten. Die Fahrt durch die Berge war ein wahres Abenteuer, und die Aussicht, die sich mir bot, war einfach atemberaubend. Obwohl das Hotel etwas abseits lag, was wir extrem mochten, waren es nur 5 Minuten zum Strand und 10 Minuten nach Makarska mit dem Auto oder E-MTB. Die Nähe zum Strand, nach Makarska und Podgora sowie den Bergen bot uns eine perfekte Balance zwischen Entspannung, Kultur und Abenteuer. Absolute Highlights waren auch die Tagesausflüge nach Dubrovnik, Split, Brela und zum goldenen Horn. Die Städte waren voller Geschichte, beeindruckender Architektur und lebendiger Kultur, die uns faszinierten und inspirierten. Ein weiteres Highlight unseres Aufenthalts war der Besuch des Biokovo Nationalparks, der nur 3 Minuten vom Hotel entfernt lag. Wir unternahmen beeindruckende Wanderungen mit unseren Hunden und waren überwältigt von der unberührten Natur und den Ausblicken vom Gipfel bzw. vom Skywalk. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass unser Aufenthalt im Heritage Hotel Liberan eine wunderbare Kombination aus herzlicher Gastfreundschaft, erstklassigem Service von Srdjan und kulinarischen Genüssen von Krizan war. Die atemberaubende Lage in den Bergen, umgeben von Natur und dennoch nahe am Meer und den Städten, machte diesen Urlaub zu einem unvergleichlichen und unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Wir werden mit Sicherheit wiederkommen und bedanken uns herzlich bei Srdjan und Krizan herzlichst für diese unvergessliche Zeit!
