Staying at this campsite was one of the best travel experiences of my life. I booked a luxury tent for 5 days. It was my first time in Croatia and I wasn’t sure how some of the details, like getting to the camp without a rental car and paying via electronic transfer (something we rarely do in the US), but I didn’t need to worry. The two brothers who own and run the camp were incredibly accommodating and helped me at every turn. They are both very knowledgeable about many different topics, and didn’t seem to mind explaining their favorite aspects of Croatian culture and history. They treated me like a visiting friend, and even traveling alone, I felt very safe and comfortable the entire time. My tent was enormous, very clean and sturdy, with a well-equipped small kitchen and an incredible view overlooking the marina and bay. The sunsets were spectacular. I really can’t say enough good things about the Marušina Olive Hills campsite. If the idea appeals to you, I highly recommend you make the trip. I don’t think you’ll be...
Read moreThis is a very nice and cozy place. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We didn't plan on staying at campsites as it was not within our budget, but the laws of Croatia made it necessary for us to do so. Unfortunately, wild camping was not allowed.
As for the campsite itself, it is not located by the sea and there is no opportunity to charge your camper, but the views are beautiful with olive groves providing shade from the heat. The toilets and showers are clean, and there is a kitchen available. Just a 10-minute drive from the campsite, there are amazing wild beaches that allowed us to relax and unwind. We stayed here for 2 nights and decided to extend our stay for one more night. We haven't felt this peaceful in a long time.
Unfortunately, we need to continue our journey as we are military refugees searching for work and a country for a peaceful life. We hope this place continues to thrive. Thank you for your...
Read moreThis is a pleasant small and simple agrotouristic campsite (not camping for campervans) located in an olive garden. Very suitable for travellers with tents as there is grass! Lots of space in shadow. The only backside is its cost structure which is biased towards charging a high price per units of tents and all persons unlike other places which only charge per pitch and only adults. In Marušina all kids below 12y are charged. Hence if you have a family with more tents and more kids, you can easily end up paying €50 or more per night...just for a grass spot and a lavatory. The deal is good only if you take a very large tent that can accommodate many sleepers. Punat town centre is around 20 min walk and the best beaches of Krk within 20...
