Location of the camp is very beautiful, by the sea, small town. I like it becouse it isn't next to the main road and you can hear all the natural voices: murmiring the sea, crickets and cicadas you can smell pine trees, it is not crowded on the beach...The ovner-boss and his family runs the tavern. They are nice people, perfectionists- the tavern and the camp are specialy designed: stone tables situeded under the olive trees, view on the sea, beach and landscape. THE FOOD IS AMAZING. I recomend you to make a reservation, especially after 6pm. Everything is fresh, local, homemade, cooked and baked: sea food, fishes, meat, vegetable...everything absolutly fantastic. It is clear and you can see that this family- DO IT WITH LOVE. We come here since 2012, even if we're not on vacation in Rtina Miočić. Fish plate 250 kun(1 fish, some calamary, some seashells, peace of tuna steak, 2 shrimps), Tuna steak(250g)120 kun, octopus with potato in vine sauce 130, seashells in sauce -dagnje u buzari (500g)50 kun ... Read moreWe are not fans of the massive commercial campsites and after being advices not to wild camp due to massive fines that place rescue us on the last minute booking. We loved every minute , lots of character , great food cooked in front of your eyes and truly amazing friendly owners ( can’t forget about Harris who works there this season🫶) beautiful setting just by the beach and great starting point to explore Pag Island . Yes , it is places on the the steep hill , and roads are quite narrow so it could be hard to access for big motorhomes although there were few so it’s possible. There are some static homes to rent as well, but it’s not a massive site so I bet it books up quickly in the season . Please aware of mosquitoes, non of our repellents work , apparently the plug in is the one you need . Anyway, I hope we made some friends for life and I really hope we will be back one day. Thank you Alan and Nada and of course our „Harris on Ford 😂) we will...
Read moreby croatian standards this campsite is very near the top of the list.
you sleep under olive trees (plenty of shade!) and the ground (terraces) is nicely flat for pitching tents. a nice public beach is just downstairs, the food [mixed meat, in my case] is made on a proper barebecue and is superb, if not the best i ate on this summer trip along the adriatic coast. the facilities are kept in very good working order and are clean. the hosts are superb and friendly and speak engish and german fluent.
minus points are for cash only payment [there is an ATM and a supermarket uphill on the main road] and the fact that bicycles seem to be paid for, if you arrive on them.
the site is a bit on the expensive end - one night for 2 people in one small tent were around 200 kuna, which is close to 30 euro. as a bicycle traveller i would love to see some form of discount in form of free washing of clothes and/or reduced prices for overnighters.
i would definetly...
