We spent a week at the Bretia apartments which were basic, modern and reasonably comfortable with most amenities being provided. Like some of the other comments made previously the apartments don’t have an oven, dishwasher or a hair dryer. A washing machine is provided for communal use. A mobile drying rack was provided in the apartment. Internet connection was somewhat intermittent and unreliable.||||Management are friendly, accommodating and eager to resolve any issues. When I asked if our bath drainage could be unblocked the response was attentive and quick.||Several bicycles are provided for use by residents which are convenient for getting into the village. This is a nice touch and an additional reason for staying here. The bikes are old but otherwise in reasonable working order which, according to management, means that you don’t have to worry too much about them being stolen. ||||There are also some newer bikes which are ideal for exploring some of the superb bike trails that are nearby. The Maestral trail heads to the West of Sutivan around the along the coast with fantastic views and different terrain whilst the Levanant rail heads to the East just short of Supetar. Again, another very scenic and worthwhile route. Maps are available foc from the apartment reception.||||Facilities include an outside BBQ, a football table game (with a broken leg that needs mending) and a small swimming pool with plenty of seating around it.||||The apartment block overlooks a supermarket and a car workshop. The car park behind the apartment is littered with boats and cars with flat tyres. The apartment advertises itself as being 200m away from the sea. In practice it seems further than this and for a family with small children it’s a good 20 minute walk. The beaches are not of the ‘sandy’ type and instead are small areas of pebbles and rocks. However, the water is crystal clear, chilly – even in August and a welcome diversion from the mid-day heat. || ||Management might like to consider providing a ‘welcome pack’ with some basic provisions for visitors to get them started. A tea-towel instead of a hand towel would also be useful as would refreshing the bath towels and a clean of the apartment mid-week. Management might also like to provide a bike puncture repair kit in the lock-up. During our holiday several bikes were out of action due to punctures – I managed to obtain a puncture repair kit in the village and conduct some repairs myself, none of which were hard to do. Finally it would be great if a fridge could be provided in the downstairs area that is stocked with beers and soft drinks, along with an ‘honesty box’. I am certain that guests would welcome this as they relax by the pool and this might also generate some additional income for management.||||Overall the apartment was comfortable enough although there were a few niggling problems that had not been addressed. The fact that it is end of season should not be an excuse for remedying...
Read moreWe had the most wonderful stay on Brac island, 7 nights at Bretia apartments. Our stay was part of Green World Holidays, who run amazing family adventure holidays in Croatia. We stayed in a lovely 2 bedroom apartment, that had a lovely big balcony facing the swimming pool. Everything you need to keep your teenagers happy is provided for. Wifi around the sun lounging area, Wifi in the apartments, a swimming pool, the beach only 5 minutes walk away. On the practical side for parents, very close by is a super market, ATM and plenty of restaurants.||||The apartments inside are spacious, modern and fresh looking. They look and feel like they do in the pictures, so always a relief when you walk through the front door. We had two Green World Holiday Reps and a building manager to help and answer any questions. Ado and Jelena are the up most professionals, locals to the area and always gave us fresh towels if we required them.||||There is air conditioning, but we found the blackout shutters enough to keep the accommodation cool. Kitchens are fully equipped and downstairs for a minimal amount of money (Kuna) you can use the washing machine. At the very top, enjoy a panoramic roof terrace. If a sun worshipper its perfect, but myself it was all about the star gazing at night.||||Brac is an incredible destination for family holidays and Bretia apartments are superb, with an excellent location. Very quiet and walking distance to everything. For a 3 star accommodation, we believe its raised the bar. Thank you for a...
Read moreI visited Bretia Apartments with my Mum and Sister for a week at the end of May. Upon arrival we received a warm and friendly welcome from Ana our host who provided light refreshments and lots of information about the local area, places to visit and a tour of the apartment and facilities. ||The apartment was modern, clean and spacious for a 2 bed. The kitchen was well stocked with a range of utensils, pots and pans. The bathroom was a good size with a powerful shower. The balcony was big with dining furniture and was a great place to have breakfast. The pool is lovely with a range of outdoor seating. A bonus was the complimentary bicycles which we used to ride to Supetar (30 mins). The big supermarket is just a 2 minute walk with a wide range of fresh produce and a bakery.||The apartments were very clean and Ana couldn't have been more helpful - always on hand to assist with information and advice. ||We loved our time at Bretia Apartments and hope to return in the future.
