Some very good things about the place. Nice position, very close to a 'family' beach. Only two 'proper' restaurants ( as opposed to fast food / pizzas ) on the doorstep but loads a short drive away in Tribunj which is lovely. Handy, secure parking on hotel site same price as street parking (10 euros per day). Breakfast pretty good - great omelettes. Our main comments are broadly summed up as attitude . Maria was friendly, hospitable and helpful but was mostly in the kitchen. We had asked for gluten free in advance but gf bread only arrived day 3 - Maria did pop out for rice cakes on day 1. Patrick worked every day on his laptop in the dining room during breakfast... Unfortunately I upset Patrick from the off... whatever I asked for seemed to upset him, often when I simply and politely asked for things to be topped up / refreshed as they didnt seem to keep on top of things... including.. milk, dried fruit, fruit salad but it was my struggles with the technology which really upset him ... whether in struggling with the coffee machine which seemed to need topping up or emptying or resetting whenever I got near it, not closing the doors quietly enough, not parking the car straight enough etc. We were only one room of two rooms occupied by paying guests, the rest were friends or family of the owners. Maria was lovely and constantly radiant, in severe contrast to her partner. We were particularly upset by our positive experience at the second hotel which we moved onto - a much more relaxed chilled place which was way less than half the cost in Sibenik which was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the off... which I felt moved to review both of them, as I'm not a frequent reviewer. Sadly our visit could have been so much better... We would rate it average but due to the price at nearly 1000 euros for 5 nights including parking and and breakfast we can regretfully rate it as...
Read moreNever ever again. We booked this place trough Booking. We liked the pictures and the fact that they accept dogs, but we were in to big surprise. The male owner is horrible. Very stand-offish. As we arrived with our dog I asked him after we parked where is the gate to get outside the property, so our dog could go to the bathroom. I could see that he was very annoyed with me. I guess he would rather if we let our dog pee in his yard. Around 8pm my cousin and her husband who were staying few houses down the street came for a glass of vine which we took by the swimming pool on the patio. The owner came to me and told me we are not to have any guests. I told him they are not staying in our room, they are just here to greet us, but he said absolutely no guests. We were 4 sixty year olds having glass of vine and he made us feel like we were in a girl school. Because owners knew at this point that they will not get good review from us, they marked us at Booking as NO- SHOW. I communicated with boooking and was told to get a receipt for pay to have some proof. We tried to ignore him for the rest of the trip, but at the end he demanded cash for the parking and dog fee ( which for dog is €20.00 a day- outrageous). I insisted on CC or bank transfer so I can have proof and he threatened me, that he was a police man and he will call his friends from the police on me. I told him he will not get cash and his wife gave me bank account to transfer founds. I am still trying to send documents to Booking so I can write review on them. Furthermore I suspect that in order to get high mark for their property, they will mark you as NO- SHOW if they feel like they will not get positive review. Please don't believe what he writes. He is a Bully. We had horrible stay...
Read moreI highly recommend visiting this villa. Great and smiling hosts, excellent breakfast, homemade pancakes, omelets, eggs according to requirements. Beautiful and comfortable rooms just a few meters from the beach. If you like talking to local Croatians, you can enjoy it directly from your own small terrace. The villa has a boutique atmosphere, it is not a mass market, only 6 rooms, so comfort. Tribujn is a beautiful village in which I managed to get lost :-)), with restaurants, clean sea, its own small market and a great trail for runners and walkers. We will definitely...
