Allow yourself more time than expected to get there.|There is very little information on the website re parking, boat shuttle transfer & checkin & even after having rang and emailed ahead and then visited the Delfin Pier reception desk, we still ended up checking in way after we had intended as the information we were given turned out to be patchy and incomplete at best.|You first need to go the the Maestra reception at Delfin pier with you car & cases & show your reservation to the staff. They will give you a ticket for display in your car and you will await the shuttle bus driver. I would advise waiting in your car as I waited in the air conditioned lobby with a drink as advised but the receptionist failed to notify that the driver had arrived (as she had said she would) and if I hadn't seen the car oark emptying out of the corner of my eye, I would have missed him leaving - I had to leave my drink, run to my car and race to catch up with the convoy lest I have to wait another 20 or so minutes for the next trip. You follow the shuttle bus to a car park about 5 mins drive away, park up (no shade) & jump back in the shuttle bus to be brought back to reception where you await your boat transfer.|If this all goes seemlessly you could in theory be on the island within half an hour or so from initially parking up at the pier though I believe 45 - 120 minutes is a more realistic timeframe.||The island is great. It has everything you would expect from a resort like this and secluded bays along the ajoining island offer a handy excape from the busier main island.|Most bathing coves are sea entry from the rocks and the beaches (bar an artificial one on the central causeway which is sand up to the sealine) are pebbles. Clean clear water & plenty of fish across both islands.|Breakfast was extensive & generally tasty but very poorly labelled which makes life very difficult for vegetarians, vegans or those with food allergies.|Rooms were ok tho unfortunately there were no tea/coffee making facilities. After reading this in other reviews we brought a travel kettle. They were also a little tired with holes in the curtains, cobwebs in the shower & the air con was good but quite noisy. Balcony blinds, spare plug sockets & ample wardrobe space were pluses.|Pools were clean and we managed to get loungers ok (tho this could have been luck).|Towels are free to hotel guests (available from the pool bar) but incur additional costs if you wish to change them fro clean ones.|There are loungers scattered all over the coves of both islands, tho the further from the hotel they are the more covered in bird poo they are. They don't appear to have anyone check on them or clean them which is a real shame.|The grill on the second island was closed for refurb (July 2022) so come prepared with enough food and water if you plan to visit this more relaxed island for longer than a quick walk.|Food at the pizza place was fine. Dinner at La Serra was great.|The hourly taxi boats (7am till midnight) run well and are a necessary but great addition allowing access to the mainland for alternative dinner plans or simply enjoying the beatiful Rovinj.|Overall this would have been a 4* review. Unfortunately, the maid walked in on my partner naked (without knocking!!!!) on our final morning & hotel management barely managed to muster an apology when we went to complain & offered no recompense whatsoever!!!|This threw a highlight on all the other issues that we had previously managed to overlook & totally took the shine out of the good things about our stay.|Very, very...

Such a bad hotel that I don’t want to experience it ever again.

First of all, the head of this hotel (may be branch) is not interested in renewing the policy of this hotel. Staff is not polite at all, only receptionist. They are not interested in any of your problems, or complaints/concerns. In example, when the products, in our case, sausages and tomatoes went bad and they really didn’t care. There are little to no vegetables here: tomatoes, lettuce and almost rotten Greek salad. They don’t change the menu at all. Also in the restaurant when I and other family wanted different recipes for the drinks and, as I understood, the waitress didn’t hear it from the first time then when she brought the recipe, and we repeated that she rolled her eyes, groaned and redid it. Also there is a problem with drinks and fruits. No fruits at all and if there are then only apples and you can’t take them outside. At the breakfast you are allowed to have any drink except alcohol or soda (they aren’t included in the price), but at the dinner YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DRINK WATER FOR FREE!! you need to pay even for the water (don’t forget about other drinks).

About the room service - if you don’t ask to clean it then still they will go in your room, move some things around and that’s all. When you actually ask them to clean your room they only mop the floor in the bathroom and that’s all. They don’t refill those “shower gel” bottles (and if they do they are still not full - even some of them are 1/3 filled with gel).

Don’t waste your time and energy on this. There are WAY better options.

Problems with parking - parking far away, almost outside the city. The 7 parking lots in front of the hotel are available on the basis who is smarter and faster and who knows the staff better. Go away during the day, and your parking is gone, even if you paid for it.|Rooms are terrible:|- the wooden doors between the rooms are not insulated at all. You can hear everything through the door.|- we were not able to open the window shade, as it was put together with some plastic ties for cables|- the shower is awful. the water is leaking through the glass wall between the shower and the rest of the bathroom. We used to use all our towels to have the bathroom dry again.|- the lifts to the rooms are very small and old. I was not sure, it would do the job or not. From the previous century...|The food:|- the food is OK. Not terrific, but OK. The problem is staff. Waiters are walking around, not doing their jobs as they should. On one evening we had to put the empty plates on the other table, to be able to eat further. When the trays with the dishes are empty, it takes ages for them to refill. One morning, we came to breakfast at 8am, and there ware only the leftovers.
