Hotel Balatura is a magical veggie hidden treasure that I would highly recommend to all, even though I secretly want to keep it for myself! The location is stunning and quiet and the hotel is a beautifully preserved historic building from Gordon's ancestry. Gordon and the team make you feel like family as soon as you arrive. Our room was upgraded and dinner was ready for us whenever we wanted it, which was appreciated after a long day traveling. Tanya the chef created the most incredible vegetarian feasts, which we devoured. The breakfasts were also hearty and healthy and especially lovely enjoyed out in the courtyard. You can tell that the hotel and menu is made with passion and love, which makes this place so damn special. Gordon was always around for a chat and to give you tourism advice. Such a funny, friendly person! We felt so happy and relaxed and didn't want to leave. We cannot wait to return one day to see the hotel turned into a village! Truly one of the best places I've ever stayed, which is saying alot.

We found it yummy as well as healthy.||As a vegetarian, I felt better for eating less dairy - something to think about.||We were a large family group taking over the place and the experience of staying there was amazing. Ann-Kathrin and Gordon supplied us with guides and suggestions for places to go and we enjoyed coming back to our hammocks on the balcony.||This was our first visit to Croatia and it is such a beautiful country, the coastline is stunning.||We would definitely recommend this place and hope...
