Hotel Lav — Hotel in Vukovar

Stayed here for a week for work reasons. Wifi in the hotel is pretty good, room was cleaned every day, towels were changed, staff is nice. Hotel is on an excellent location, right in the centre of Vukovar. Gym was very good, well-equipped. The hotel exterior and interior is obsolete. There was a receptionist who was basically helpful and nice but when I tried to pay for the hotel or something else, it was impossible. Anything to what I said I was replied that she'd ask the boss later. Maybe she did but I didn't get any answer to my questions anytime later. Not to mention that she didn't speak English almost at all. On arrival I wasn't provided with any information on the hotel, breakfast, internet, etc., I had to ask everything. Breakfast is not proper, especially the coffee that is beyond bad, hardly had any worse in my life. Omlette was cold, choice limited, no vegetables at all. Another minus goes to the room safe service: the safe was out of order in my room (and in the whole hotel as well) during my whole stay, and they didn't put any effort into repairing it. For this room price I'm sure I can get better service somewhere...

We stayed 2 days, hotel definitely don’t deserve 4 stars, 3 maybe. Cleanness of hotel and room is good, staff is nice and helpful. On arrival we were not provided with any info about dinner, breakfast or anything else. Selection of food is very limited, but that is not only problem, we were served by almost cold soup and also main course, first night we did not say anything, it can happen to anybody. Second night was almost the same thing with food, soup was hot as it is supposed to bat pasta was totally cold. We called waiter and complained about it, so he collected our plates and bring them back heated (there was three of us my wife, friend and myself, all of us had same meal and I did not get my back I am sure).||On check out form hotel there was also owner present and when my wife said to her about cold food, she was polite but moment she was told about food, she blamed COVID as the reason for it and she escaped.||Finally hotel is not too bad but if you can try to avoid eating dinner or launch at hotel, breakfast is not to bad at least there is...

Stayed at this hotel during a tour. The hotel is rated as a 4 star but its more of a 3-star by North American standards. The hotel on the outside looks pretty modern but once you go inside it is very dated. The rooms are extremely dated and the air conditioning does not work. I was literally sweating during my stay there, but I had no choice as this was where my tour group booked us. There is a mall walking distance from the hotel to pick up some food and water. The hotel has a kettle to boil water which is good. There is a mini fridge but for some reason they latched the fridge door to this old cabinet which caused the fridge door to not close properly. I simply detached it and the fridge was fine afterwards. Breakfast was edible but not great.

Hotel is located in a small town, lower your expectations. This hotel can't compete with brand name hotels out there but it does let you do what you need to do to survive the night. Clean and hot water, comfy beds and a roof...
