Staying at Lyhnos is an absolute must for nature and tranquillity lovers, but also for people who pay attention in cosiness and elegance. ||The place is located in the picturesque, tiny village of Askas, a hidden gem in Cyprus mountains, offering a great opportunity for discovering tradition, local life and natural beauty. We therefore had the chance to visit nearby villages (rich in history and culture), walk through formed nature trails and relax far away from our noicy routine. ||Our room, eventhough of traditional character, was very elegant, with pieces of art all over, and at the same time cosy and comfortable. We really appreciated the huge bed, the jacuzzi, the espresso machine, the fully equipped fireplace and of course the balcony with stunning views of the mountains. ||Fresh and delicious breakfast was served at the lovely restaurant of the hotel, while for dinner there was a small tavern just a few steps away. ||We 've already decided that we are coming back in spring time, to offer our selves a peaceful time amongst burgeoning...
Read moreWe stayed four nights in the deluxe room of this nice and small Hotel. The room was very spacious, stylish, very well equipped and with an amazing Terrace where you can enjoy your coffee in the Morning while you watch the Sunrise over the beautiful landscape. The perfect start in the day. The breakfast was included and for a few days absolutley ok. Good coffee, fresh eggs, halloumi... etc. Some of the staff speaks only russian and no english. And they show us that the Russian guests are more welcome. She talked to them very loud during the breakfast - not very polite. But the younger women were also open minded to other guests. The village is very calm and traditional- very nice „Oldtown“ and a perfect start for a lots of hiking tours. Only a 30 Minute Drive away, amazing Hiking-Tours could be found, for example the Madari-Trail - amazing Tour!! |In total we had a wonderful time in this place and the area around. We can recommended this...
Read moreGreat place to stay and unwind in a beautiful and old style village tucked away in the mountains. Friendly staff. Basic but fresh breakfast. It's not a 5 star hotel so don't expect an entire buffet. It has everything you need to get your day started. Some advice to the owners would be to go over the wood on the balconies with some varnish and take care of the iron gates as they start to rust. Additionally a smart tv would be nice. The one in our room (Sanidoto) had only Cypriot channels which unfortunately offer poor entertainment. A table would be nice as well. Our balcony had a tiny one but we could see the other balconies below had bigger ones. Also the nespresso machine slider was faulty (wouldn't push the capsule in place). Bathtub worked flawlessly as a jacuzzi as well which was nice to relax it. 100%...
