Zdejší lokalita byla osídlena podle archeologického sběru střepů asi od 13. - 14. století a mnozí historici právě na toto místo umísťují původní obec Zahrádky. Ještě před statkem býval na skalním ostrohu hrádek, který je datován od 14. století. Byl dřevěný a proto se zachovaly pouze terénní relikty a úpravy pískovcových skal. Snažil jsem se k němu dostat, bohužel naprosto neúspěšně - ze severozápadu jej brání strmá skalní stěna, z jihovýchodu právě farma Nový Dvůr. Statek má více než dvěstěletou historii. Farma se zaměřuje na chov českých koz, na produkci kozího mléka a produkci výrobků z něj. Ve výrobcích z kozího mléka převládá produkce měkkých a polotvrdých sýrů podle ověřených receptur. Farma rovněž produkuje kozí syrovátku na léčebné účely.
The locality was inhabited from about the 13th to the 14th century (according to the archaeological collection of shards) and many historians have placed the original village of Zahrádky to those places. Even before the farmhouse a castle used to be on a rocky promontory dating to the 14th century. It was wooden and therefore only the terrain relics and sandstone rocks were preserved. I tried to get to it, unfortunately totally unsuccessfully - from the northwest it is protected by a steep rock wall, from the southeast it is the farm Nový Dvůr. The homestead has more than two hundred years of history. The farm focuses on the breeding of Czech goats, the production of goat's milk and the products from it. Without knowing where exacttly we are going we did end up in this beautifull old castle like historical building which was split into two parts, one was closed for the public, living quarters and the other part was a goat cheese farm/shop. We arrived 6:30 pm on sunday and the employees have been still working even when officially they close at 6pm. We have been offered to reopen and give us some tastings, that really made our day and i found it very nice, welcoming....
