We have been look forward to here. We got excellent recommendations. Pluses are nice and new environment and above all excellent food.||A big negative is the staff that distinguishes the guests by type of accommodation. When you don’t have the most expensive one you often feel very bad. Restaurant staff is slow and confused. The day before yesterday we would like to order the dessert and coffee after lunch, after bringing a menu for more than 15 minutes nobody came to order. Yesterday, the waiter made me a fool, that I did not order a drink. In evening a lady came to us on a golf car at 9.30 h PM and announced that the pool, which is, according to the information we received on arrival at the reception, open until 10 o ´clock, has already closed, but it was only for us, the others were swimming further (then we found on the website that the pool is open until 7 PM). Much of the information that should be written on the website or at the hotel reception, one learns/gets on the fly and is not always consistent, it depends on the staff you received it from. Today at breakfast, we again felt like a second class guests. We came and settled, after us came people from Villa 1, Miss waitress was so hurrying up to say hello and wish them good morning, while she "overlooked" us. Unfortunately, not a single day goes by that we experienced something unpleasantly surprised us. We are worry about what tomorrow will bring us. Our feel is not good and initial enthusiasm was changed to big...
Read moreVilla Resort Dlouha Louka was our first destination driving through Bohemia region on our holiday. We were carefully optimistic upon arrival and were pleasantly surprised. Our 1 bedroom villa was spacious, new and with nice furnitures. Air condition was up to standard. The surrounding park, the poolside and the architecture in general exceeded our expectations. So did the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and we could order room service every day. I can highly recommend risotto and caprese salad... On the downside, there was a number of guests who should consider wearing deodorant and sleeves in restaurant. We also found it strange that the motel and camping was connected to the resort area. ||||All in all, this was a fantastic gem in the Czech countryside. Perfect for travelling with small children. The beautiful Cesky Krumlov only a short drive away. Resort has a tennis court, a pool and gym, playgrounds and bike rental. I would gladly visit again if passing...
Read moreWe had a very relaxing weekend at Villa Resort Dlouha Louka. We stayed at a two bedroom villa. The villas are specious, modern, nicely designed and well equipped with a Nesspresso coffee maker, air conditioning, flat TV etc. Overall atmosphere is luxurious. Kitchen has some basic equipment (don't plan on cooking sophisticated meals). There is also a generous complementary minibar. The resort is peaceful with outdoor swimming pool, a couple of playgrounds for kids and a restaurant. The restaurant was just okay, the waiters could speak minimal English, breakfast quite basic. The stuff was very kind and helpful. There is a tennis court (complementary) and an amazing selection of bikes of different sizes, types and colors that guests can take for a ride (also complementary). At the same area of the resort there is also a motel. I didn't feel it mixed well together, but...
