Hotel "Matthew" Blackberries — Hotel in okres Český Krumlov

We went to this hotel with two friends who had stayed there previously and said it was good, however even they said it had deteriorated badly, we thought it was awful, not least because it was fully booked with two weddings over the weekend, consequently other guests were ignored. Entrance to the hotel was littered with a lot of children’s toys. Our friends booked us in for two nights which was accepted at the time but on arrival we were told it was only for one night -probably needed our bedroom for wedding guests! Arrived 1.30pm and rooms not made up, left hotel to feature around 4.30 pm. No wardrobe in the room - only hotel ever! No lounge and no bar to get a glass of wine. Only settee occupied y a sleeping teenager. Breakfast was extremely grim........ no fresh fruit, only hot food was eggs, very poor quality salad items. For various reasons we went for lunch (against our better judgement), service was very poor, very long wait for menus to arrive, only one portion of soup left. No, really – it does! Cernice consists of a few houses, an old church and this hotel. The building is old, adapted from a farm, with a courtyard and a backyard with animals, but rooms are nicely decorated and sensibly furnished with comfortable large beds, clean modern bathrooms and free wi-fi. The only thing lacking are dark curtains or blinds in some of the windows. You park right outside the hotel for free. There’s a restaurant downstairs offering a small selection of basic dishes good for supper and serving simple buffet breakfast. These weren’t the top-most meals I’ve ever had but fresh and good enough. The restaurant also offers wine by glasses and drought beer, so on weekends it might be a bit loud in the evening, thus it’s sensible to choose a room which doesn’t overlook the courtyard. Měli jsme v hotelu objednaných víc pokojů na svatbu, majitelům přišlo líto peněz zatopit před naším příjezdem, ač bylo venku 14 st.C. Jistič v našem pokoji neutáhl dva přímotopy, takže v noci vypadl, takže jsem nemohla spát zimou. Majitelé se pohybovali po objektu v ošuntělém domácím oblečení. A majitelka byla ještě arogantní, když jsme chtěli řešit situaci s topením, na mého manžela sprostě řvala - její slova: "Už k nám nejezděte, na vás nejsme zvědaví" byla ta nejmírnější. K snídani dvě nožičky párku za pět stovek na noc za osobu. Ceny jako v Českém Krumlově, takže naprosto není důvod volit tento zanedbaný a nepřátelský rádoby hotel. Za mne - nikdy víc, tak špatně jsem se ještě v žádném...
