Hotel Červenohorské Sedlo — Hotel in okres Šumperk

Hard to comment about this hotel. Been there both in september 2011 and 2015.

To start with the obvious. The hotel rooms are in a horrible condition. The furniture seems to be still from 80s communist era. The bathrooms look scary (Check to bring your own bathing shoes and remember to wear them in the shower). The rooms are tidy, but you'll notice that they need some fresh paint, furnitures, carpets or something. To be honest, you don't want to spend two or more nights in there. You got a tiny TV, but in my case it wasn't working. It would support you with Czech TV anyway, I guess.

On the other hand, once you made id up there, you're absolutely stunned by the place you may rest your head. Incredible countryside. You stand outside at midnight hearing birds singing their songs in the nearby forests, looking at the stars or watch the shimmering city lights of Sumperk or Jesenik about 30 to 40 km away. And a perfect starting point to hike through the Jeseniky mountains. 10 km to Praded in east or 10 km to the west to Serak mountain. No matter which way you'll choose, there's some great wilderness to be unveiled.

Diner and breakfast or surprsingly very well, their chef is top notch, and the staff is pretty friendly, although English and German are hardly understood.

So only star for the hotelrooms themselves, five stars for the kitchen , staff...

Owner of the hotel takes care of property, many things are renovated as rooms, reception, new sauna world, restaurant etc. We really enjoyed winter stay in this hotel, staff was friendly (receptionist offered to me even her own hair rubber band when i wanted to go to gym and didnt have my own :)) waiters were kind, halfboard was ok, meals tasty. In restaurant menu you can find steaks, italian cuisine etc. which is not really very common in moravian ski resorts.. Room was clean, warm, with great view. Quite good hotel. Rooms are little bit older equipped but there is nice and clean. Restaurant is renovated and breakfast was good with choice of cold and warm bufet. Over all it is a good hotel with really nice and friendly stuff. Celkom dobry hotel, izby su vybavene starsim vybavenim, ale vsade je cisto a vsetko funguje.
