Dvůr Pecínov — Hotel in okres Benešov

Let’s start with the room. The bathroom was fine. Nice enough decor and a decent shower, but there was no natural light. The bedroom was really poor. No wardrobe. Instead there was an alcove in the wall directly above the bed which had a hanging rail. Who wants to sleep in a bed with their clothes hanging over their face? There were no hangers anyway so the clothes stayed in the case. Then there was the restaurant. What a disaster that was.. The menu was very limited with only 5 choices . First night I had the duck with dumplings. Duck was ok, dumplings were tasteless. Second night I had a Caesar salad to be safe and my wife and daughter had meat and dumplings. The salad was the worst salad I have ever been presented with. Essentially a plate of lettuce with an anchovy and a tiny piece of dried bacon. The meat and dumplings looked like it had been lying overnight and reheated. Time to get the manager. Long story short, he said the chef was having a bad day and the meat had been reheated! The quality of food in this place is shocking and you are paying more than you would in a decent Prague restaurant. This is a great example of a poor quality hotel trying to pretend they are of a much higher standard by charging prices they can’t justify for accomodation and food....

This trip was a pure perfection 🤌😍❤️|- amazing place with it’s own history and beautiful architecture 🏰|- large romantic garden ⛲️|- cozy historical rooms restored for perfect comfort 🛏🏛|- delicious food all day long 🥓🍮🍤🍺🥂|- horse riding 🐎|- lot’s of cuddles with many animals 🐑🐈🐎🐕|- magical nature all around the place 🦌🌲🌳🏔|- top class private spa 🧖🏼‍♀️🛁💦|- dog friendly 🦮|- lots of other activities inside and outside (billiard, bowling, tennis and volleyball courts, outside swimming pool etc.) 🎱🎳🎾| |AND||- the most pleasant servise (from reception to catering stewards and horse riding insteuctors) 👨‍🍳👩‍💼👨‍🔧||We enjoyed this weekend very much and 100% we will be coming back in the future.❤️🙏||Thank you Dvur Pecinov ❤️||PS.: this place is great for: individuals, couples and families looking for peaceful relax but also for weddings, parties, conferences, team...

Firstly the lady on reception was very good (albeit new) the place itself is brilliant and could be something very special if you turned it in to a retreat / spa break and dropped the whole horse thing. I'm personally not a horse person so found it a bit smelly of horses and they attract flies big time so trying to enjoy a drink outside or eat is a not starter. It's struck me that this place is maybe a wedding venue and probably good at that, but not really any good as a hotel outside of that. Dinner was pretty poor and likewise so was breakfast, rooms were nice and so was the pool (although who thought having a pool surrounded by sand and stones was a good idea, as the pool was basically full of stones and sand). All in all this place could be fantastic, but...
