This hotel was on our cycling tour C.Krumlov to Prague, and I think our tour company was a bit shocked at what we had. The room was a good size, but quite dark, with small windows facing into a courtyard - which was nice as a courtyeard to eat outside. Our hot water was dark reddish/brown for about the first 5 minutes on arrival, and fairly brown for a minute or so in the morning. We tried to tell the young receptionist in the morning, but she didn't seem to understand, or may wasn't interested. The shower unit was falling off the wall, and I had to refit it. In the morning, the breakfast was relatively quite sparse - each place was set with a small plate with 2 very thin slices of cheese, 2 very thin slices of ham, 2 small pieces of tomato, and a bit of sweet pepper - all wrapped in selophane. There was a basket of bread rolls, some pots of yoghurt, small pots of jam, and the usual tea/coffee. One of my pieces of toasting bread was mouldy, so I complained to the receptionist, who did seem suitably horrified! We got the distinct impression that we were not expected to eat too much! We had paid for, and the tour company were expecting, half board, but the receptionist knew nothing of this! When I persisted, she went 'next door' to the pub/restaurant to see if they knew anything - and they did. We were told that we could have a meal up to 250Kcs (actually quite reasonable for the Czech Republic). However, when I went to pay for the wine, I was then told that the 250 Kcs was only for a main course! What a cheek! There was only one item on the menu costing more than 250 Kcs! So I had to pay for our deserts. Not expensive, and the tour company were quite willing to reimburse me, but it was the principle of the thing that got me. I do hope the tour company - who were otherwise VERY good throughout, will change the hotel...
Read moreThis is a small hotel in a small town. ||We were there on a cycle tour. They knew how to deal with the bikes.||||We were in a small house in the garden; a good-sized room, although the shower was not really well separated from the room itself. Nevertheless a good shower.||||There is not a lot going on in Zebrak, so it was important that there were good tables for decent drinking and eating in the garden!||||The most notable, from our point of view, was how helpful the receptionist was. We had a small medical emergency and there is no chemist or accessible doctor in the town. (7 km to the next large town - not good on bikes.) The receptionist went to very great lengths to solve our problems and...

Já opravdu nejsem ten typ, co by si v každém hotelu stěžoval, cestuji hodně a hodně pracovně spím po různých hotelech i levnějších. Naštěstí Postel vypadala převlečená a relativně čistá, snad i bez nevítaných malých návštěvníků. Doufám, že jsem si domů nic...
