Hotel U Parku — Hotel in okres Beroun

Warm welcome, although difficult to track the staff down. The hotel is situated in a small town/country area.|The room was adequate, large size, comfortable bed. However, the bed side table was dirty, it had not been wiped clean from somebody else’s drinks stains. The shower was terrible - no water pressure for the ‘rain shower’, and little pressure for the hand held shower head (to the point where I held off washing my hair until the next hotel stay elsewhere), the towels were threadbare and the toilet bowl in the bottom looked like it needed a very good scrub (but not with the dirty toilet brush)! Soap was provided but not shampoo.|I stayed 2 nights and the room was not cleaned or tidied after the first night.|There was aircon, but no kettle or fridge.|The breakfast was poor, other than the scrambled eggs which were delicious. A plate of chilled meats and cheese (you could not choose, it was handed to you on the plate), weak coffee, bread that wasn’t fresh, cereal and yoghurt. Oh and cheap sugary fruit juice.... no water, no fruit.... just a bit too basic and insufficient choice for me. |Dinner was supposed to be included but I didn’t stop to try.|I don’t class this as a hotel, more a b&b or pension. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the friendly hostess who ensured that my stay was comfortable and memorable. The hotel exudes a lovely homey atmosphere, making me feel right at home. In the evenings, I could enjoy delicious meals at the hotel’s restaurant, where the dishes were both innovative and delightful. This comfortable guest house is located between the main road and the train station, with a nice view over the valley. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms modern.
