We stayed at Ve Stoleti based on a recommendation. It is an old farm complex that has been converted into a lovely restaurant and a guest house, complete with small conference facilities. There is plenty of parking, it is beautifully landscaped, and their is a nice playground for kids. It is very easy to find, right off the highway. The price was excellent for what we got, given its proximity to Prague. Nevertheless, it is still a 15-minute drive to Prague. Do not stay there unless you have a car. And even if you do, it is a challenge, because driving in Prague is quite confusing (even with a GPS) and finding parking that is relatively inexpensive was quite a challenge. We managed ok, but it added some unnecessary stress to our visit. For the price though, it was a great deal. The room was nice and relatively new. It seemed very clean until we put a suitcase up on top of the closet, and a rain of dust came down. They don’t seem to dust what you can’t see. The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. My husband said one meal there was one of the best he had ever eaten (pork with green beans). He ate it two nights in a row. We had breakfast with the room, which mainly consisted of cooked eggs and ham, bread and jams/jellies/honey. It was nice. We thought it was a little strange that they never cleaned our room (we were there for ten nights), but I guess that is how they do it. It was peaceful and quiet, except for one night when there was something noisy going on in the room next door. The walls were very thin (but we never heard anything any of the other nights). There is not much to do in the little town this place is in. There was no refrigerator, so we ended up using the ledge outside our window as our...
Read moreWe have friends who live nearby the village of Lodenice and when we visit them we always stay at this guest house. The complex is an old farm that has been converted into a guest house and restaurant (where breakfast is served in the morning). The rooms are decent size. However it's not always as clean as I would like it to be. Because it's a guest house there is no housekeeping. So if you want more/clean towels you will need to ask for it. Breakfast is simple, but good. ||||It's near the highway, so very easy access. It's about 15 minute drive to Prague center. ||I would definitely recommend having dinner at their restaurant. They have delicious food! ||||The staff is friendly however most of them lack the ability to speak any other language beside Czech, which makes communication hard sometimes (but it can be charming too, you are on vacation...
V zadnem pripade by nam nemela byt prikladem kuchyne franzouska. Prijemne prostredi a pozornou obsluhu restarace nici hlasita, penetrantni hudba, ktere neni uniku.
