Hotel Moravia — Hotel in okres Blansko

Apparently this place used to be a mill, thus it has an old mill pond. The pond is now just a MOSQUITO FARM.||There is no aircon anywhere in this hotel, so, with the temperature in the bedroom pushing 30*C and I couldn't open the windows because the mosquitoes can come in, I didn't get a lot of sleep.||No aircon the restaurant made that pretty uncomfortable as well, although the food at dinner time is very good. Sadly, the beer is not so good - tasted like they hadn't cleaned the pipes this year.Breakfast was disappointing.||My room was nice, but I was a bit unhappy to be sharing with it someone else's toenail. It was there when I arrived and still there 3 days later when I left, so not the best housekeeping. See photo.||The mini-fridge was completely iced up, so wouldn't chill anything, why wasn't this de-frosted? - another housekeeping miss. ||The bathroom was quite big, so why the tiny bath? Why was the bath squeezed in under to sloping roof, so that I could only stand in one place? And why is there no shower curtain? See photo. When I had showered the floor was covered in 1cm of water, so, once I had left the bathroom, I couldn't return without getting wet feet. Bizarre.||There is construction/refurbishment going on at the hotel at the moment. The workmen start around 6.45 with noisy tools, so expect to be woken up, or, at best annoyed, by this.||I've actually stayed at this hotel before about 2 years ago and there was construction/refurbshment going on then as well. I could see no progress.||I had none of these problems 2 years ago, or I wouldn't have returned. New owner, maybe? It's definitely...

Location is very nice, unfortunately comfort rooms are in a separated building, we reserved 4 rooms, rooms were ok but 2 negative points. One is that tv is not working in any room, you can not see the channels, only stripes on the screen, second point is that after some minutes hot water was running empty in all rooms so shower was very uncomfortable. Receptionist can not speak English at all even basic words were problem for her so check out procedure took quite long and she was very confused. Food is vers nice in the restaurant during dinner time, breakfest selection is quite limited...

Have to admit my first choice of hotel - in the centre of town - was booked so we plumped for this. With no car, the snag is that you have to taxi in and out of Boskovice, but the pleasures of the garden by the lake made up for this. We had only one night, the rooms were fairly basic but comfortable and clean, and the dinner and lunch good home cooking. The staff was extremely helpful in arranging taxis and helping with travel arrangements. The hotel was busy with small group and local guests, so it seems a popular choice. Also...
