Our family recently embarked on a breathtaking mountain trip, and on our way back, we decided to stop by a restaurant that had been recommended to us by a colleague. What an extraordinary decision that turned out to be! Our experience at this establishment was nothing short of exceptional, and we were left thoroughly impressed.
First and foremost, the staff deserves a special mention. From the moment we walked in, their warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. Their attentiveness and dedication to providing top-notch service were truly commendable. It's rare to encounter such a level of hospitality, and it greatly enhanced our dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food – it was nothing short of amazing. The menu offered a delightful variety of dishes to choose from, and every single one we ordered exceeded our expectations. The flavors were exquisite, and each dish was beautifully presented. It was evident that the chefs in the kitchen take great pride in their craft.
But it wasn't just the main courses that impressed us. Even something as simple as coffee was a revelation. The rich, aromatic coffee was served with care and attention to detail. It was the perfect way to wrap up our meal.
As we reluctantly left the restaurant, we couldn't help but wish that this gem of a place was closer to where we live. The combination of exceptional staff, impressive food, and delicious coffee made our stop on the way back from our mountain adventure truly memorable. We will definitely be returning whenever we find ourselves in the area again. Highly...
Read moreYes, it is in a busy brewery! The working part is in a new set of buildings a few metres away, quiet and unobtrusive. The old buildings have been stylishly converted and come complete with a fitness/wellness section including a pool and massage services. But the heart of the place is its kitchen, which produces locally styled meals that are superb and reasonably priced. If you want a room for a meeting or private event, there are a range from swish chrome and polished wood, to old brick cellars.||||The village it is in has little to recommend it, though you can walk up the "Cerna Hora" = "black Hill" behind the hotel to see an old chapel, a nunnery serving as a care home and at the far side a lake. But here you are close to the town of Blansko with its facilties and to tourist attractions in the Moravian Karst like dramatic cave systems.||||Every traveller knows "the room by the lift/elevator" ... but in this hotel it can be a prime position. On the top floor that little door leads to a large suite on two storeys, The upper level is a circular bedroom with circular bed and a huge jacuzzi. The shape is because it is at the base of the old brewery chimney!||||The large courtyard includes places for children to play - and a rack of tools for visiting cyclists. Opening onto that space is a roofed but open area to eat or drink if you like to smoke. Beyond that is a bright, attractive dining area. Off to one side is what feels like a wooden hall, where you can eat and imagine yourself in an old hunting lodge.||||And if you ask for a beer ... there is a...
Read moreWe somehow found Hotel Sladnova, which seems to be in a small town in the middle of nowhere. We had stayed in dreary hotels in the area before, but this time we were in for a pleasant surprise! Hotel Sladovna was lovely and very welcome after a long day driving the countryside. The hotel itself looks especially modern and has a beautiful elevator, nice large restaurant and a big reception area. It was quite busy, maybe because of its wellness center, but it was definitely a bustling place. We were in an annex building and had a spacious top floor room, up three flights of stairs, but worth it for the many skylights and roominess. We had a large king bed and a big modern space with a large and beautifully clean and shiny bathroom. Our biggest complaint was that the bed area was on a raised dais with two steps and no railing. At night this was a disadvantage when heading to the bathroom. Also, although the bathroom was very large, there was no stand or cabinet on which to set toiletries. Minor complaints.||Breakfast in the separate breakfast room the next morning was great - what ever one could want - meat, cheese, eggs, bread and pastries and the most delicious coffee machine which could produce any kind of coffee. Also the homemade yoghurt and fruit was quite special. ||The hotel sits next to what they say is the oldest brewery in Chéchia. The reception area had a case os special and totally unusual gifts such as beer facial cream, beer shampoo, and a large array of such offerings. We would seek out Hotel Sladovna...
