A nice privately-held hotel in a beautiful area of Jeseníky near Karlova Studánka. The hotel is only a couple of years old, clean, and well-maintained, both inside and outside. We stayed in a two-bedroom family apartment. The room was nice, well-equipped, and even included a small kitchen with all necessary equipment. WiFi coverage in most premises of the hotel was excellent, internet connection OK most of the time, though a bit slow in the peak hours when all guests were in.
All personnel were kind, helpful, and always smiling, which is very important and influences the general impression very much. So all OK here as well. Maybe, the owner could show up from time to time and chat a little with hotel guests to show his interest and get some feedback.
We also liked the hotel's swimming pool, which we found useful after our hikes. It was clean and nice. Personally, I very much appreciated the possibility to rent bikes, both standard and electric. Also there are tennis and squash courts, small fitness room as well as wellness facilities (sauna and whirpool) or even a climbing wall, none of which we had time to try.
There is probably one thing I would do differently based on our experience during our stay. It is that I would not choose the half-board option and would go for the standard meals from the hotel menu list instead. The portions of the half-board meals were just not enough for me and some of the meals were not "kids-friendly" - i.e. meals that most of kids would normally eat (which, on the other hand, meant more food for me ... but the kids still have to be fed in some way :-) ...). The meals themselves were OK (apart from the portion size) but in our opinion not as good compared to what we tried from the hotel's menu list.
The things mentioned above describes our positive experience with some suggestions for improvements. So here comes some negatives:
First of all, you can claim that you can provide gluten-free meals only if you have a completely separate gluten-free kitchen (i.e not necessarily a complete room but at least a separate table in the kitchen). For example, you cannot use the same oil, the same work place, tools etc. for preparing standard as well as gluten-free meals. My wife suffers from celiac disease and after the very first dinner on the day we arrived, she started to feel not very well. It was nothing serious but this was a first sign that not all is OK. So next morning we asked about the meal we had the evening before and how it was prepared. One of the girls confirmed that my wife's meat/schnitzel was prepared in the same oil as ours and that it is the standard way they always do it. This is definitely not the correct way. The other days it was better since the meals we had were not fried and we always politely asked if the meals were really gluten-free. But anyway, I would advise to pay more attention to this for future gluten-free guests. It is important for them.
Second, we were not very satisfied with the room service. On the first and second day, we deliberately asked not to clean the room as it was not needed. But the other days, the room was free to be cleaned but it was not (at least not in the way we are used to, for example, no body did any vacuum cleaning in any of our rooms during our stay).
In general, we had a very good time in the Peras hotel and liked our stay there despite the few things above. Therefore our rating will be positive and we would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone. The hotel is definitely a good choice, probably the best in the area. Read moreWe have just returned from our holiday in Jeseníky. We had a double room with balcony on third floor. Don´t worry about stairs, there is a lift:-) The room was big with enough space for clothes. There was a bathroom with shower, really big one. The hotel itself is really nice, beautiful garden with lovely swimming lake. Unfortunately we didn´t try it as it wasn´t weather for swimming. There is a playground for kids, tennis court for adults:-) a nice terrace. They had one day a grilling on terrace which was perfect. There is a nice restaurant with good choice of food. We like breakfast, there was ham, cheese, warm food, jam, cakes, fruit, juice, tea, coffee etc. The hotel is very good situated as it is near quite road and in the middle of nature. We did lots of trips, to Karlova Studánka, Zlaté hory, Rejvíz. We were really happy that we chose this hotel, I cannot complain. The only thing which they could improve is cleaning. I am not saying that the room was dirty....but the cleaning lady didn´t hoover properly and to be honest it should have been done better. However, overall impression was good and worthy staying...
Read moreZklamání z pobytu – hotel neodpovídá standardu 4 hvězdiček Termín návštěvy: 1.5.-5.5.2025 Náš pobyt v tomto hotelu bohužel nesplnil očekávání, která běžně spojujeme s ubytováním kategorie 4*. Již při příjezdu nás přivítala zmatená recepční, která nám neposkytla jasné informace o službách ani o průběhu pobytu. Například informace o snídani byly velmi obecné – bez přesného času ukončení nebo upozornění na doplňování bufetu. Když jsme dorazili na snídani 15 minut před jejím koncem, bufet byl prakticky prázdný. O to nepříjemnější byla situace krátce po desáté hodině, kdy nás paní z obsluhy nevybíravě vyzvala k okamžitému odchodu, konkrétně v 10:02. Takové chování je pro personál 4* hotelu naprosto nepřijatelné. Jinde jsme zvyklí, že zaměstnanci hosty slušně informují o blížícím se konci snídaně a umožní jim v klidu si dopít kávu, aniž by je nutili k okamžitému odchodu. Nepříjemné překvapení nás čekalo i při využití bazénu. Ten je zcela neadekvátní kapacitě hotelu – malý, přeplněný a hlučný, bez možnosti klidné relaxace. Doporučujeme zvážit rozšíření provozní doby wellness a případné rozdělení časů – například zvlášť pro rodiny s dětmi a zvlášť pro dospělé hosty hledající odpočinek. Dalším zklamáním bylo zpoplatnění wellness zóny, přestože je přímo součástí názvu hotelu. Tato informace není dostatečně zdůrazněna na webových stránkách a host je tak nepříjemně překvapen dodatečnými náklady. Navíc je provozní doba wellness omezena pouze do 20:00, přičemž v neděli dokonce jen do 19:00 – tuto informaci jsme nikde na stránkách nenašli a podle personálu měla být uvedena v e-mailu, který jsme však také neobdrželi. Přijde nám tento čas naprosto neadekvátní vzhledem k tomu, že se hosté často právě chvíli předtím vracejí z výletů a na večerní relaxaci pak nezbývá téměř žádný prostor. Pokoje působí zanedbaně. Pod postelí jsme našli silnou vrstvu prachu, což svědčí o dlouhodobě nedostatečném úklidu. Koupelna byla ve špatném technickém stavu – netěsnící sprcha, protékající voda a ostré opotřebované hrany, které nám při sprchování způsobili drobná poranění. Jediným světlejším bodem byly snídaně z hlediska chuti – i když nabídka byla velmi omezená. Od čtyřhvězdičkového hotelu jsme očekávali pestřejší a kvalitnější výběr. Ze sladkého pečiva byly dostupné pouze jeden či dva typy buchet. Co musím zmínit za pozitivní, tak jsou pomazánky. Ty byly opravdu dobré. Celkově ale hodnotíme pobyt jako velké zklamání. Služby i přístup personálu neodpovídají kategorii, kterou hotel prezentuje. Za těchto podmínek se již na toto místo určitě nevrátíme. Je však třeba podotknout, že některé problémy nemusí být nutně chybou pouze samotných zaměstnanců, ale mohou pramenit i z nedostatečné komunikace a organizace ze strany hotelového vedení, které by mělo lépe školit a informovat personál o těchto zásadních aspektech. V okolí lze najít kvalitnější ubytování za srovnatelnou či nižší cenu, ale s výrazně vyšší úrovní...
