Hotel and Restaurant Vyprez — Hotel in okres Děčín

I've visited Hotel Vyprez in Decin with my wife during our motorcycle trip to Italy. The first impression was positive, the facility is looking fresh, clean and tidy. Sadly, the good vibes were blown away before we could even cross the front door. To unload my heavily loaded bike I've parked near an empty bike stand, which happened to be placed conveniently next to the entance, in an aisle marked as (un)loading area. Before I could even turn the engine off, the receptionist came crashing through the door yelling at me on repeat that I'm not supposed to park there. I've apologized, yet the good man had to repeat me his preaching multiple times. During the check-in, to calm the good chap down a bit, my wife said him, that we're happy to leave the bike in the parking spot, since the hotel description said, that the whole area is secured anyway. The receptionist told us "Yeah. There's a camera, but nobody cares about it anyway, so don't expect that anybody watches over it". To clarify he also stated, that if somebody would like to steal our bike, then it will be stolen and thanks to the camera we could see the backs of the guys doing it. Dear Hotel Vyprez: I suggest you to change the description from the "Secured Parking" to "Secure-My-A** Parking" and please do teach your staff some good old-fashioned hospitality for the weary travellers.

Apart from that small incident the hotel room itself was good, clean and rather comfy. Sadly the air conditioning was barely functional and was blowing air like an asthmatic through a straw. The breakfast was okay, apart from the awful sausages made apparently from plywood and the coffee which most likely brewed using water recirculated from the guest rooms. The service in the restaurant was like the hotel itself: looking good but quickly dispelling the first impression after closer inspection. The waiters were absolutely unmotivated and had such sour manners, they could put a lemon to shame. The beer was equally good and its taste was apparently enriched by the dirty glasses it was served in.

I've had my share of random hotels during my travels, both good and bad. But never ever have I been received anywhere in such a passive-agressive manner like in the Hotel Vyprez. I have no idea why, maybe because I was a biker? Was it because of me speaking polish? I don't know why and honestly I don't even care because I will never go...

Estancia de dos noches en el Hotel Vyprez para dos con desayuno incluido:||||- La ubicación: El hotel está un poco alejado de la ciudad de Decin, pero tiene una parada de autobús que te lleva desde la estación de tren directamente hasta la parada "Kamenicka", a 1 minuto del hotel. Autobús nº 201 tiene parada en la estación de tren y en la estación de autobuses y tarda unos 15 minutos en llegar al hotel y cuesta unas 20 Kc por pasajero. Aun así, la ubicación es agradable y está más rodeada de naturaleza.||||- La web está en Checo, Ruso e inglés, pero al llegar a recepción no hablan inglés. La comunicación puede ser algo limitada y frustrante.||||- En la página web del hotel indican que todos los huespedes reciben un ticket gratuito para coger un barco hacia Hřensko, cuando preguntamos, nos indicaron que no era posible, que no había agua en el rio para coger barco. Luego de forma muy amable nos dieron indicaciones e información para viajar a Hřensko en tren o autobús. Aun así se sintió algo decepcionante no poder cumplir con las expectativas.||||- La habitación: Nos concedieron la "Royal Room Ferrari". Amplia, limpia y reformada. La habitación fue una grata sorpresa. La cama era cómoda. No hay aire acondicionado ni hay ventiladores, por lo que en dias de mucha calor puede ser un poco sofocante. La ducha era un poco incómoda ya que la mancuerna de la ducha está fija en la pared y además el agua no tenía mucha potencia. No había amenities salvo por el jabón y las toallas. La habitación estaba equipada con hervidor electrico y secador de pelo. También té y café y unas botellas de agua de cortesía.||||- El hotel no tenía ascensor. Las maletas había que cargarlas a pulso por la escalera. No sé si tienen habitaciones habilitadas para minusválidos.||||- Wifi gratuito en todo el hotel y las instalaciones. Estable y rápido. Muy buena conexión.||||- El desayuno: Era muy básico y con una calidad mediocre. Muesli con leche o yogur, café en termo, zumo de naranja de bote, pan y algo de bollería, mantequilla, mermelada. El horario de servicio es hasta las 09:30.||||- Servicios: Tienen alquiler de bicicletas gratis, pero no preguntamos. Tambien hay servicios de masaje y sauna en el hotel. El restaurante es parte del hotel y está en el mismo recinto. Parking amplio en frente del hotel (creo que es gratuito)||||- Restaurante: Almorzamos y cenamos durante los dos dias. La comida estaba buena, aunque no fue económico. No tienen menú en inglés y la mayoría de los camareros te atenderán en checo, por lo que la comunicación puede ser algo frustrante si no sabes nada del idioma local.||||En conclusión, la estancia fue placentera, el hotel era agradable y la habitación amplia y cómoda, perfecta para ir más de 2 noches. Aun así pienso que por un precio aprox. 76€/noche tendrían que mejorar servicios como la calidad y la duración del desayuno, menu en inglés en el restaurante, información anticipada a los clientes si no pueden cumplir con las promesas indicadas en la web (el caso del barco hasta...

I stayed with a group of six people here for a sports holiday and found it to be reasonably priced, clean and with a good restaurant serving well prepared food.

The hotel is situated in a very scenic hilly area on the outskirts of Decin. Be wary of the local drivers as they tend to wander across the centerline and are happy to play chicken on the windy roads to avoid the potholes.

Although the hotel is very well built to Euro standards, be prepared for warm nights as four of our rooms did not have AC and the summer temperatures can get above +30C. So you may be woken by early morning traffic with your open windows.
