Hotel Formule — Hotel in okres Děčín

Very far from being or having a 4.3 star worthy hotel in goggle review. I’m guessing the rating is mainly because it’s a cheap stay, but the quality of the rooms and common areas are way lower than the price. Friendly staff, but the hotel looks more like a pension than a hotel: very old decoration, plastic chairs and plastic tables everywhere, few wooden tables around with very low quality. The food served is based on the cheapest food found in supermarkets and wine options are very bad. The biggest disappointment is the “swimming pool”, in which you can hardly swim as it is tiny... the big pool shown in pictures is non existent and it was replaced by a playground. The room we got was tiny, dirty, smelly, with stained towels and bed sheets. The bed didn’t have a mattress only...

I called the hotel and asked about staying in a caravan and was advised to take the more expensive but much cooler hotel room. The hotel room however was under the roof in the evening sun and could not have been much cooler than the caravan.

The big pool is closed.

Our food took more thank an hour to arrive and our vegetarian wraps were replaced by meat wraps. The meat wraps were on the bill at double the price of the vegetarian, which I only noticed after paying. No money could be refunded for this mistake.

The beds compare bad against our inflatable camping matrasses.

On the plus side, the room was big and contained a blower. The kids had fun in the small pool.

The mobile home that we were in was simple, but decent, if it wasn't for the fact that the gas pressure was too low.

Since the boiler was gas powered this meant that the warm water would randomly stop, and start again, causing the shower to be unpredictable. It also meant that the gas stove would randomly cut out, only to then start pumping gas into the mobile home. If we didn't smell the gas, there could well have been an accident.

If they fix the gas pressure issue, I'd recommend this as a cheap but decent place. Until then, I wouldn't recommend renting a mobile home here. (We were in the right most mobile home (closest to the pool), and have no experience with the other...
