Pension a Restaurace VESNA — Hotel in okres Děčín

We stopped at this restaurant and decided to sit outside, ordering five beers right away. The waiter immediately asked if we wanted food, but it was too late for lunch and too early for dinner, so we said no. After about fifteen minutes, the weather turned too cold to stay outside, and when a table inside opened up, we politely asked to move. The waiter even began setting the table for us—until he realized we still were not going to order food. At that point he suddenly told us we had to remain outside.

So we sat in the cold and finished our beers while the table inside sat completely empty the entire time. No one else was ever seated there. The message was loud and clear: if you are not ordering food, you are not welcome.

This is the kind of arrogant and shortsighted behavior that drives guests away. We came in good faith, ordered drinks, and were treated as second-class customers. Absolutely rude and unprofessional. There are plenty of places that appreciate every guest—this is not one of them. Wir setzten uns draußen hin und bestellten sofort fünf Biere. Der Kellner fragte gleich, ob wir etwas essen wollten. Da es aber zu spät fürs Mittagessen und zu früh fürs Abendessen war, lehnten wir ab. Nach etwa fünfzehn Minuten wurde es uns draußen zu kalt. Als ein Tisch im Inneren frei wurde, baten wir höflich, dorthin umzuziehen. Der Kellner begann sogar, den Tisch für uns vorzubereiten – bis er erfuhr, dass wir immer noch nichts essen wollten. Plötzlich hieß es dann, wir müssten draußen bleiben.

Also saßen wir frierend da und tranken unsere Biere, während der Tisch drinnen die ganze Zeit leer blieb. Kein einziger Gast setzte sich hin. Die Botschaft war eindeutig: Wer nichts isst, ist hier unerwünscht.

Das ist eine arrogante und kurzsichtige Art, Gäste zu behandeln. Wir kamen in gutem Glauben, bestellten Getränke und wurden wie Kunden zweiter Klasse behandelt. Absolut unhöflich und unprofessionell. Es gibt genügend Lokale, die jeden Gast zu schätzen wissen – dieses gehört definitiv nicht dazu. Posadili jsme se venku a hned jsme si objednali pět piv. Číšník se okamžitě zeptal, jestli si dáme i jídlo. Bylo ale pozdě na oběd a brzy na večeři, takže jsme odmítli. Po asi patnácti minutách nám venku začala být zima. Když se uvnitř uvolnil stůl, slušně jsme požádali, jestli si můžeme přesednout. Číšník začal stůl připravovat – dokud nezjistil, že si stejně nic k jídlu nedáme. V tu chvíli nám oznámil, že musíme zůstat venku.

Nakonec jsme dopili piva venku v chladu, zatímco stůl uvnitř zůstal po celou dobu prázdný. Nikdo si tam nesedl. Zpráva byla jasná: kdo si neobjedná jídlo, není vítán.

Takové chování je arogantní a krátkozraké. Přišli jsme v dobré víře, objednali jsme si pití a bylo s námi zacházeno jako se zákazníky druhé kategorie. Absolutně nezdvořilé a neprofesionální. V okolí je spousta míst, kde si hostů váží – tohle mezi ně rozhodně nepatří. 24.10.2025: t was cold and raining outside, and we simply wanted to enjoy our drinks somewhere warm. The fact remains that you offered us a table until you realized we weren’t planning to eat. Once you did, you told us to stay outside. There wasn’t even an attempt to accommodate us. It’s rather ironic that the Czech Republic depends heavily on tourism, yet visitors are sometimes made to feel unwelcome. Perhaps consider that the next time you turn away someone who simply wishes to support your establishment. 24.10.2025: Venku byla zima a pršelo a my jsme si jen chtěli v klidu vychutnat pivo někde v teple. Faktem zůstává, že jste nám nabídli stůl, dokud jste nezjistili, že si neobjednáme jídlo. Jakmile jste to zjistili, poslali jste nás zpět ven. Nepokusili jste se nám nijak vyjít vstříc. Je to poněkud ironické, že Česká republika tolik spoléhá na turistiku, ale návštěvníci se tu někdy cítí nevítaní. Zkuste se nad tím zamyslet, až příště odmítnete někoho, kdo chce podpořit...

Run by Jarda and his family, this is the perfect place from which to see some of the very beautiful Bohemian National Park.||||From cheerfully arranging a late (after midnight) check in, without extra charge and without grumbling when we were even later than we thought, to carefully drawing us maps of the local area and bringing us a candle when we wanted to stay out in the garden past the bar's closing time, nothing was too much trouble. ||||Our room was small but spotlessly clean and perfectly equipped with a good hot shower and a comfy bed, though the pillows were a little strange. Breakfast was lovingly prepared with fresh ingredients and totally different each morning. An inventive selection, including carrot and pineapple salad and a whole tomato one day, a boiled egg and fresh pancakes the next, it was an odd selection but I can't fault it for that!||||It's only 20 minutes drive to Hrensko or less to any of the smaller stopping points from which to walk into the park. It's a very quiet location, no room noise at all but there's not a lot near by so stock up on bottled water and snacks before you go. ||||Absolutely brilliant price for such a comfortable stay I would highly...

Stayed for a night after Bohemian Switzerland, just a short drive away. Beautiful homely countryside pension. The owner is super warm & friendly, treats you like a long lost friend. He speaks some English (German & Czech no problem). Wish we could stay another night. Would definitely return if we have the chance to! Food portions are huge. Schnitzel is delicious, love the salad portion. Breakfast was included with the stay and the spread is very good. Big platter served with juice, coffee/tea and a basket of bread. Room looks refurbished, modern country style. Bathroom is new, clean and smells good, towels and linens were great, rainshower was awesome though the shower stall is on smaller side. No kettle, bottled water or hairdryer provided so come prepared if you need these. Soundproofing in the room isn't fantastic so loud neighbours can definitely be heard but it's about the only con.

P.S. Take a walk behind the pension into the woods with a stream and pond....
