What can I say... I went there on a Wednesday. Coming all the way from Argentina just to see it was already an accomplishment. It was a cold day, during April, and unfortunately everything was closed. We didn't know that everything opened from Thursdays to Sundays. But something extraordinary happened: Martin Hašek opened his doors for us and cooked us his grandfather's traditional goulash recipee, and had three beers with him. Of course I never told him, but I still get emotional thinking about how luck surprised us that day. Admiring his grandfather's work, and thinking about Jaroslav Hašek almost every day, I can say it was one of the happiest days in my life. It was an honour eating his favourite dish, drinking his favourite beer, sitting in the same room as he did, and meeting his family. Read moreI must say I didn´ t stay in this inn, but went to have lunch there when visiting the famous Lipnice Castle. The property is connected with the name of Jaroslav Hasek (author of the world-famous Svejk, who used to attend it) and in fact is run by his great-grandson. The dishes on the menu are also named after Hasek, which is a kind of added value leading to higher prices. My goulash (allegedly prepared to Hasek´ s recipe) was really delicious but elsewhere could be bought for fracture of what I paid.||Average...

I did have here even wedding night long time ago:-) - wedding itself in the castle Lipnice with this restaurant providing catering. Good as well!||During summer quite busy, over the weekend call them to get place - a lot of tourists and bicycles.
