The hotel is located in a lovely setting in the village of Čejkovice, which lies in a wine-growing region. Everything there is in fact related to the wine (the red wine seemed quite good to me).||The hotel is in fact a renovated castle originally built by the Knights Templar. My room was smallish, with very basic furnishing (small TV, single bed, no minibar, no in-room internet connection). It was all very clean though. ||The reception staff was helpful, although they didn't speak much English (so bringing along a Czech speaker can be useful). The hotel also has a restaurant, but it closes really early (we were more or less thrown out at 10.30 PM). The food was good though. The breakfast buffet was also quite plentiful. There are also drink available for purchase non-stop at the reception desk, where there is also a computer that's connected to the internet.||The hotel also has good quality meetings facilities, and it would seem that this is one of their main way of getting customers in this remote region.||Overall I had a good experience there and I would not mind returning for another couple of days away from...
Read moreI was in this beautiful hotel with 2 small children, for a few days.||There are no stairs, so it wasn't that easy to get to the room with the suitcases and children, but except for this, it was very comfortable. The room we got was a big one (for a family), with view over town (which is small and quiet). It was very comfortable.||The reception did speak English (always), but in the restaurant we sometimes had some language problems... Everyone was very helpful, though, and tried their best to help us, all with a smile.||There was internet connection in some areas of the hotel, not in our room. But there was no problem working in the Lobby when necessary.||There even was a (very) small playground for the children, which was fun.||Except for a business conference or alike, I see only relaxation as a good reason to stay in this place (which is a very good reason, by the way). Maybe it's best to come with a car, so one can go around, and return in the evening.||The food was excellent - all meals (and we...
Read moreThis hotel is in a restored castle, nicely renovated to a good standard. The room we had was of a fair size and the beds comfortable. ||||The staff were generally good. The receptionist was not quite as helpful as she might be, but she was dealing in our language not hers, and the waitress who served us at dinner was excellent. ||||The food at dinner was very good indeed as was the wine. This last was from a producer in the village. ||||They have made a valiant attempt to provide wifi coverage with networks in various parts of the building. The castle walls still seem to have the upper hand and coverage is pretty patchy. Probably the best on offer is in...
