Well, reading all the reviews here and on Booking.com, we were very happy to arrive at this nice hotel. The rooms are really nice for the CZ ( usually the rooms are equiped with horrible furniture, but this is not the case, the furniture is very nice good quality and some IKEA accesories), but as you start to live here, problems are slowly cummulating... Absolutly no soap or shower gel - nothing, it was 34 degrees Celsia and we lived under the roof and it got really hot in the room - no air con - I underdtand that, but at least one of those cheap fans would be good.. We opened the windows later and got our room fool of insect immediately.. Again a stupid little thing as a window net would be helpful. No cleaning of the room - not making the bed nothing... The kitchen closes at 9 and so does the whole place, noone at the reception, nothing and again - ut would be nice to jave tea/coffee facilities in the roon then...for three star hotel, these things should be automatic... So - great location, really cosy, but don't expect pampering or anything...and take your...
Read moreI cannot review the accommodation, as we didn’t stay there, but I may definitely evaluate their restaurant. The only positive thing was the waiter, he was nice and polite. We arrived for Sunday lunch and the menu looked tempting. My partner ordered Czech classics Svickova (vegetable sauce with sirloin and dumplings) and I asked for a codfish in papillote with potatoes. What came to our table was horrible- my partner’s sauce was clearly full of additives but my fish was even worse! When I tried it, it was completely cold and it was clear that they’d used frozen fish. They apologized and I waited for a new plate. However, when I saw it, I had to return it back to the kitchen again- the fish was literally swimming in water- when they made it warmer, it released a lot of liquid into vegetables, it was disgusting. Avoid this restaurant, prices are not cheap and they pretend to be something, they are...
Read moreWe stayed in Epocha at the begining of the summer and I have to say that they are incredibly child friendly. The rooms are very stylish with a contemporary design. They provided us with a separate bed for our son. There was an extensive menu with very inventive as well as more traditional dishes. They even attempt molecular cuisine! The staff were very friendly and there is a playground behind the car park. || One of the things you simply have to try is the bob-sleigh run near by (about 10 minute walk) you can ride on your own or in twos (our three year old son could not get enough of it!) and there is the cushion trampoline right next to it.||Breakfast was nice enough and the staff was again very friendly and provided some colouring books and pencils for our son along with a memory game.||It is a great base for trips into the mountains and there are some excellent ski...
