Hotel Pošta Sobotka — Hotel in okres Jičín

We stayed here for one night as part of a walking holiday. ||The hotel is in an ideal position - right in the historic town square surrounded by shops and cafes. Very pretty. It has many antique pieces decorating the entire place. Old fashioned and spacious. No lift but there’s only one floor to climb. ||Huge, spacious rooms, we had an ante-room ideal for luggage and shoes. Looking out into the town square which was wonderful. Despite opening the windows, we weren’t disturbed by lot of noise at night. No air conditioning. Excellent beds and a wonderful power-shower! What else do you need after a long walk?||Service was vey good. Helpful staff. ||Food: we had 2 meals and drinks in the back garden Very high standard, good servings and delectable. Breakfast in the dining area inside which had a pub-like feel. Adequate spread at breakfast with very good coffee. ||Would be happy to stay there again and recommend it if one willing to trade some modern amenities for the ‘feel’ and living in an...

Stayed here for one night as a hiking base.||Friendly reception staff. No lift, which wasn't a problem for us but could be an issue for some.||We had a huge family loft room, which consisted of one double and one twin room. We certainly had plenty of room to move about. Decor was pretty dated with floral wallpaper. Looking at other pictures of the hotel, some other rooms may be more up-to-date. Our bathroom was modern though. It got a bit warm at night and rain prevented us from opening the windows. No drinks facilities in room but otherwise the stay was comfortable.||Very good breakfast with breads, kolaches, yogurts, pudding, meats, cheeses, some hot food and lots more.||The restaurant was also good for dinner with an option to sit outside.||Friendly staff all around.||Excellent location right by the town...

We stayed in two rooms on the first floor ( no lift).||The staff were very friendly and efficient.||The rooms were large and very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and functional. There is no bar fridge or tea/coffee making facilities.||The dining room is comfortable with a nice atmosphere and the dinner was excellent with a good selection on the menu.||Breakfast was buffet style with hot and cold options with fruit, meat, cheeses, breads, cereals and some poppyseed and cheese strudel – delicious.||The hotel is situated on the town Square and there is a beer garden in the back.||In summary this is a very pleasant hotel in which to stay with...
