This is a superb place to stay and I would have no hesitation in recommending it. It is quite trendy and modern - definitely no dusty corners or dark furniture! On the edge of the town in a secluded and quiet position overlooking farmland and a moat, it has gated access and feels incredibly safe. The rooms were as clean as any I have stayed in anywhere with a superb, large shower room, a lovely large bedroom with a wardrobe, TV (couldn't find any English channels but was too busy anyway!) a very comfortable double bed with immaculately clean bedding, 2 bedside tables and a table and 2 chairs, a hallway with a 2nd wardrobe and a fridge and patio doors leading out on to a personal decked area with another table and chairs looking out on to the moat. The patio doors had Venetian blinds which all worked. My party had a number of rooms and although some were configured slightly differently they were all excellent. Parking was outside each room and across the other side of the car park was the communal dining room and bar which also had patio doors and indoor and outdoor tables and chairs overlooking farmland and a quiet lane. The breakfasts were generous and appetising. There were different breads, doughnuts, cakes, ham, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, croissants, coffee, juice, yogurts, fruit and much more. The service was superb and unobtrusive. All this for £22 a night! ( I think we had a small discount as we booked around 10 rooms for a local wedding). The town itself was really attractive and so clean - no rubbish to be seen anywhere. The outdoor pool in the town was fabulous and cost £1.45 for the day. There are some wonderful, historic buildings in the area and access by train to other parts of the Czech Republic, including Prague. We had a marvellous trip to Telc, which is a UNESCO world heritage site dating back to the 14th century with amazing buildings in many different colours. Prices are ridiculously cheap - about £6 for an evening meal and 2 glasses of wine. There are virtually no British tourists (hooray!) but the downside is that few people speak English and menus are often only in Czech and German. However it is a really great place to visit and the Motel Dacice really made it special because I always had a lovely, clean, fresh, comfortable room and bed to come back to at the end of each day. It has reliable wi-fi. I had 3 nights here but would happily have stayed for...
Read moreI stayed for more than 2 weeks at this nice pearl of a motel. The staff is friendly and service minded and helpful for tourists in the area. Rooms are big and practical, with two large closets, all is very clean and all is quite new. One gets a «new» feeling of the rooms, as the building is rather new.||||Big bathroom with heated floor, also with the «new» feeling. In winter the restaurant is closed, but the fridge at the room works fine, and the motel also offers a fully equipped common kitchen. All rooms also have a back door to the veranda that runs along a fish pond. The view from all rooms are to the fish pond with the pine trees as background. One may also get a view of the busy squirrels in the pines or the grateful ducks sometimes swimming in the pond, just 2-3 meters from the room. Nice neighbours. ||||The motel is also very calm when it comes to sounds and traffic. Internet worked useful at my room, but I also have an externe signal booster card that helps a lot. The beds and matrassed are perfect, american size, and bed linen and plenty fresh clean towels are always at hand. The motel also offers a washing room with washing machine, so staying for some time here works fine.||||The code locked gate ensures that the cars are parked safely just outside ones door, this is a very safe hotel to stay at. The surroundings are rural and green, and a big and very old park is the nearest urban structure. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the centrum of the town, that offers all one needs of shops, restaurants and services.||||One gets plenty for the money here, and of good quality.||||I can highly...
Read moreThis place was a nice surprise on my trip through Czech republic. If you prefer quiet and calm places, where you can sit on the terrace in the evening, listen to frogs sounds and count the stars, just come here. I have not seen for a years so many stars in the sky as I could see here. ||Motel is located behind the castle with a direct access to a huge garden with a small lake. All rooms have a terrace with chairs and table and a view to a greenery, all are overlooking the small water channel full of frogs and fish. ||||Room was clean, big enough, with a lot of storage space. Comfortable parking in front of our room, no stairs to get inside. Breakfast is served in adjacent building, and it consists of various food, you can select from 4 choices upon arrival - either sweet one with yogurt and cakes or one with eggs or ham and cheese... juice, tea, coffee is unlimited. Room was clean, I would recommend only to put something on the balcony door (a net) to prevent insects to enter the room - so far be careful when the door is open and lights on. ||Dačiče is a smaller city known for inventing the cube sugar. You can make trips to any direction. Not far away is for example beautiful castle Landštejn or town Telč.||Last, but not least, this accommodation is for a very reasonable price up to 40eur for a double room,...
