The hotel is modern and decent. We didn’t have any problems while checking in or out. As we came by car and stayed for one night the access was pretty easy as the hotel is close to the junction on the Karlove Vary by pass road (yet not close enough to hear noise). There’s also free parking for guests.||||In the room there is a quite big comfortable bed, a coffee table (though just with one chair while the room is double ?!), a wardrobe and a mini-bar fridge. The bathroom is modern and nice, with a walk in shower, though quite small.||||Some people in their comments complained about the traffic on the road in front, but to our view it was limited, especially at night. The breakfast was fine – typical hotel standards. Though at the time we visited in summer there were no special COVID-19 preventive measures taken (like we experienced in other hotels that we visited).||||As for a four star hotel the equipment of the room is very poor (or one can even say that below the standards). Firstly, there is no desk so if anyone needs to work or so it may be difficult. There’s no tea-coffee facility, or even no free bottles of water.||The room’s door doesn’t have a lock to close it the room from inside, while water in the shower was quite cold. Also the lighting in the room is very limited, so it’s pretty dark. Additional lamps like e.g. standing (which are present in many hotels) is definitely required.||||Last but not least – the rooms are not airconditioned. In our case maybe it wouldn’t be a problem if not the fact that we were unlucky to get a room on the (low) ground floor next to the bar and hotel’s entrance, so then both: because of noise and safety reasons we couldn’t leave the...
Read moreWe stayed one weekend night in this new modern hotel just during the film festival so we were quite lucky to get a last minute room in this busiest time in the town of Karlovy Vary. It was a great choice. It is a modern new hotel, everything was clean and nice. Our room was specious enough as well as the bathroom. On the top of that we even had a balcony there but we really only slept in the hotel so we could not use that too much. Nice and helpful receptionist including the owner who was available there too. Easy parking. You can get to the centre of Karlovy Vary by a bus which however goes something like once in an hour so plan your journey around that or just ask reception for calling you a taxi. It costs 120-150 CZK only.||I see a room for improvement in the organisation of breakfast - when the hotel was full up they had too few staff available to manage that plus they were lacking clean crockery and cutlery - they definitely need to buy some more and hire more staff for the busy days. There is also a small refrigerator in the room but there are no drinks available - that´s a pity! A safe for your valuables would be useful and is a standard in such a hotel nowadays. I don´t decline my evaluation because of these details as I know it is not easy to start a new hotel, particularly if this is not owned by a chain which has a sofisticated systems in place. I am sure next time we are back (and we shall definetly try to come back next year) these...
Read moreI stayed only one night but I will definitely be back.||I arrived a bit late and was starving. I knew that hotel does not have a restaurant and asked the receptionist about my options. He nicely offered to help me with some delivery but then I noticed they offer some sandwiches and pizzas. I asked for a pizza and he was so attentive he even brought it up to my room.||My room was on the 5th floor and had a nice balcony. Bathroom had a large shower corner and what I really liked was the mood setting lighting. Nice touch!||The best was, however, the bed. I swear this was one of the best beds I have ever slept on. Awesome pillows too! Wi-fi was fast which was nice too.||Breakfast was not really what I expected. Hot dogs were too long, eggs were OK but most of the other stuff was either from a can or wrapping. Basically everything was store bought and processed which is not what I like. But if you do not care then the selection is pretty wide.||What kind of surprised me was that all the staff dresses in their casual clothes. Hotel has a very specific design so I expected to see some nice clothes. I am not a big fan of uniforms but some dress code would be nice. I really expected to see something creative and not some pink hoodie, denim skirt and crocks that the breakfast lady wore. That is my personal opinion only though.||I liked the hotel very much and will definitely...
